Micro Roleplaying ThreadsWhat are they?
Micro rp threads are meant to introduce new members to the concept of character roleplaying, by minimizing the bar to entry found in the multiple paragraph standard of regular threads. These smaller threads, while facilitating the experience for new members, also provide a more manageable space for all members to post in year round.
There are a couple of rules and differences to note and follow in order to take part in such threads, which have been outlined below:1.
Micro Threads can only be created in the "Micro RPs" subsection, found under the "SideQuests & Micro RPs" section of the site.2.
No individual posts may exceed the one paragraph (5-7 sentences) maximum. Attempt to keep details about your surroundings and other such descriptions to a minimum and focus on your characters actions to reduce sentence count. (Unless such descriptions are vital to your character's actions, such as attacks/retaliations.)3.
Points are not awarded per post as in regular threads. Instead, once a thread has been completed, all participating members will receive 10 points towards their total amount.4.
A thread is considered completed (officially) after 30 posts total, although this does not imply members should attempt to conclude their thread by that time. This is simply a minimum to reach in order to receive points and members can keep posting until they feel satisfied with their thread's conclusion.5.
In order to be eligible to receive points, individual members must have at least contributed 5 unique posts in a thread.6.
Members who take longer than three
days to post during their turn will be considered as forfeiting their turn. Such members are allowed to reenter, however, they must wait until their turn comes around in order to regain their place.
