Introduction to Vana'Diel (Zidane only)

As Crucent was trying to find Zidane in peace and quiet, the more shrewd Mithrans had now started to slip away from the massfighting down on the beach, also searching for the Genome.

However they had one benefit over Crucent, they could actually be inside the houses in the little town without anybody raising an eyebrow, she couldn't. Cursing a blue strak as she saw two women making a quiet search of all the houses as they were going from door to door, she decided it would be best to follow them quietly, so she quickly made her way up on the rooftops, her long legs easily letting her move from one roof to another, as she listened to the running commentary from the ladies below her.
"he isn't in herrre eitherrr!" A hoarse voice exlaimed, it sounded very angry.
"Arrre you *cerrrtain* you saw him come up into the houses?" another voice, a little lighter tone, as if the owner was mocking the first one.
"of courrrse I did, I may be olderrr than you my girrrl, but I am not blind just yet. We Have to be the firrrst ones to find him, you know that. Then YOU will become the Mithrrran Queen, and the two of you will begin to brrreed!"
Sulkily the second voice pouted in "But i dont want to brrreed, I don't want to end up with hundrrreds of daughterrrs Motherrr!"

"But think of the Powerrr you will wield, it will be grrreaterrr than even the Salaheems in Aht Urrrghan!"

" but motherrr...." the second voice lowered a bit "... what about him? you know afterrr the firrrst mating, he will become ourrr chained prrrisonerrr, forrr all the otherrrs to rrreprrroduce frrrom as well, and I hearrrd that the last male Mithrrran died frrrom it all.... I don't want to kill anybody..."

Feeling a knot of anxiety in the pit of her stomach, she did not care to hear another word of the conversation, instead Crucent waited absolutely soundlessly on the rooftop till the felines had moved on to the next house.

'oh god... I HAVE to find Zid, or they will actually.... they will... chain him up and literally have their way with him till he dies from the sheer exhaustion of it all!' Slipping down off the roof, she had no idea where to start looking for him, all she knew was he wasn't in any of the huts closest to the palisade, thats where the other 2 had looked allready... he probably wasn't in any of those closest to the beach either, since thats where the fighting was... that left only the midpart of the town. Running silently from hut to hut, she leaned up against the walls and peered in through the windows but still she couldn't see him.

While Zidane hid and Crucent searched the crew of genomes looked at one another in slight confusion before opting to follow Crucent since it seemed the situation wasn't a calm one, the group of ten female genomes quickly went around the crowd of fighting felines and started to search for Crucent first since they lost track of her while trying to regroup. After looking around a bit the Genome tech officer known as Eleth said "This is very illogical....why do the female felines seem to interested in Mr. Zidane?" Looking at her sister genomes they simply shook their head as they didn't know either, Eleth then lead the group through the village toward the center of the village.

It was then that one of the crew members spotted Crucent on the roofs and directed the others in the right direction, it took about a minute for them to catch up with Crucent and walk up behind her before Eleth then said in her monotone voice "Lady Crucent, why do these females seem so interested in Mr. Zidane? It seems very illogical and disorderly for them to act like this, also we will assist you in locating Mr. Zidane if possible." The other female crew members were staring at Crucent as the question was asked.

Nearly swallowing her own tongue in surprise as one of the Genome Crew suddenly appeared behind her and talked to her, Crucent relaxed a little when she saw it wasn't a Mithran out to kill her, then though a bit before she replied "Well, it is because they think he is one of their Race, Male Mithrans are very rare, so... it seems that the first female Mithran to find a male will become his Primary Mate, and Queen of the Mithras, so now they all want to be the first to find him. Then after they have mated, he will become the prisoner of all Mithras, they'll have him in chains and they will all mate with him, repeatedly till his body can't take anymore and he dies."

Looking at the Crew, Crucent tried not to think about that image, and said instead "So any help you can offer, will be greatly appreciated as I don't want Zidane to die.." Shaking her head as if it would help rid her of the thoughts, Crucent looked sternly at the Crewmember that had spoken to her "Okay, I suggest we all split up and search quickly and SILENTLY for him and get the hell out of here back to the Invincible as soon as we find him. I'll follow after those 2 ladies from before, and you can all fan out from here and look for him."

With that she leapt up on the rooftops again and quickly found the 2 women again just as they walked up the stairs to a hut located on the outskirts of the town.

Stepping inside the semidark hut, the oldest Mithran held her daughter back and whispered "He is in herrre, I can *smell*him! you searrrch the rrroms on the rrright, and i'll take the left ones, quickly now, you know what's at stake!"

Concentrating Crucent heard the whisper and her heart skipped a beat as she slipped down off the roof outside and silently made her way over to the wall, again looking in the windows, still not seeing him anywhere.

The crew members looked at one another after hearing this information and then Eleth spoke up once more "That is very illogical of them, if males are so rare why wouldn't they do their best to ensure their males live long lives? But that can be discussed later, they will discover that capturing Mr. Zidane is far more difficult than simply locating him. He is very skilled in the art of evasion and escape Lady Crucent, do not fret over him being captured by anyone." Eleth then listened to Cru's orders and moved to get the other to look as well but she then said over her shoulder toward Cru "Also..if they do find a way to pin him down....it won't last for long. His trance will see to that....."

With that the entire crew disappeared as they had used vanished spells on themselves to help look around without worry of being spotted, too bad the stealth won't be of much use in the future....

Zidane had started to feel a bit cramped with being stuck in one place for so long but with him being so quiet and his senses on high alert he had heard the sound of two people searching through the building. He swore under his breath a bit as he figured they were using their nose to track him down, he inwardly wished he didn't smell so damn manly at the moment but he couldn't do anything about it now. He looked around and figured he would have to take out a wall to get out of the place, so getting down from the shelf he was on he focused energy inside himself to get ready for his escape.

It was just then the young female Mithran looked into the room he was standing in causing him to look over his shoulder with a smirk and said "Better cover your eyes kitty~" Soon a bright flash of light came from his body and blinded the cat for a few moments, before she had a chance to recover though she heard an explosion and opened her eyes to see a hole in the wall and no Zidane in sight. Zidane had gone into trance state and was currently running through the village like a blur before finally stopping to sit on a tall building and look around. He didn't know what to do or where to go but at least for now he would be a hell of a lot too fast to catch for just these normal females.

Seeing just a bright flash that sent small spots dancing inside her skull, Crucent missed Zid sprinting out of there, but her ears easily picked up the sound of him running away, extremely fast, so as soon as her eyes had regained their normal vision, she ran after him.

Inside the room, the younger Mithra shrieked in surprise when the flash went off, blinding her for several minutes longer then Cru, Unable to see anything but spots and stars as her mother came rushing into the room wanting to know what had happened. Quickly the girl explained, but the older Mithran wasted no time and ran out the door, chasing after the Genome. If her daughter didn't want the man, so be it, then she'd take the power herself, and as for the mating.... well, he had seemed quite handsome in his way.

Running a little further along she saw she wasn't the only one out running tonight however, an Elvaan woman was also running tha same way as she was, clearly looking for something, or someone.... OOO No, she'd be damned before she let some pointy-eared bitch snapped her way to the Throne away from her. Giving chase, she was now stalking the woman instead.

Zidane stood on the building for about five minutes before he saw Cru drawing near his location and caused him to jump down from the building to land right in front of her, he smiled at her as his red eyes stared her down while his now magenta colored tail swished to and fro behind him. If Crucent looked at him enough she would notice he was completely without a shred of clothing on him, the only thing hiding his more private parts being a thick coat of magenta fur on key places of his body.

He then said with a snicker "What took you so long Cru, thought I would grow old before you found me. Like what you see?" Zidane motioned to himself as he wasn't worried about all this, hell he might come to these places more often just to get a good bit of sport out of playing cat and mouse with the mithran females.

Stopping dead in her tracks when the clothes-impaired Genome landed in front of her, Crucent didn't know what to say when she saw him in the red fur. She was stunned as she had never seen him like this before. Looking him over more carefully she smiled at him and replied "I most certainly do honey, but this really isn't the time or place to start your stripper-career."
As they begun making their way back to the Invincible she spoke alot more quietly as she followed Zid closely through the narrow alleyways"I'm beeing followed, a Mithran no doubt, and she seems to have no problem mating you so she can become their Queen, then chain you up for the rest of your life so all the other women here can have their way with you till you just die of it. Now as much as you might enjoy it, I wouldn't, so can we please just leave now?"

Grinning to herself as Crucent and Zidane met up, the old Mithran saw they were gonna try making their way back to the ship, or castle or whatever it was, but she was not about to let go of all that power so easily so when she spotted her chanse just as the couple were a little apart going round a corner, she bolted after the woman, landed on the Elvaans back and pulled her head back by the womans hair, a knife at the other womans throat as she snarled "Rrright! now *I* am in charrrge. you, boy! get overrr herrre or i'll slit herrr throat! you arrre mine, and I'm not letting you go so easily!"

As Crucent fell to the ground, she felt someone pulling her hair hard and bit her lip not to scream from the pain, Before she had time to move she felt the cool sharp edge of a blade of some kind against her jugular and she didn't dare try anything as she heard what her attacker wanted, all she managed inbetween raspy breathing was "Are you mad woman?! he's not even a Mithran, he's from another World!!!"

Zidane grinned widely when he saw Crucent was a bit stunned by his current looks, it was then she finally snapped out of it and made a comment that caused him to laugh a bit as he said "This is not stripper stuff, it trance. It a special state of being people from Gaia can go into, normally makes them look different.....mine like my brother's just happens to make us look fuzzy and naked.......no clue why....." Zidane then started to walk toward the Airship with his hands folding behind his head as he felt rather relaxed even in his powered up state of being.

It was then that Zidane listened to what Cru said about being followed and what this shadow wanted to do to him, he then shook his head a bit and laughed before saying "Death by sex huh.....well there are worse ways to die ya know. But I get your point......but you do know that they have to actually catch me to do that right?......But finneeee we can leave.....though I still say you over reacting.......heck most of the females are still going at it we just got this one and that younger one maybe actually after me...."

It then happened so fast that Zidane didn't even have a real chance to react to anything, one moment they were going around a corner the next Cru gets knocked to the ground and has her life threatened by the older Mithran. Zidane's eyes narrowed dangerously so but he kept his temper in check as he then said "You know she is right, I'm a genome not a Mithran. I would think the fact I can do this and how I don't have cat ears would of tipped you off......But fine fine I'll get over to where you are just simmer down, no need to spill the blood of your world leader over this...."

Zidane walked toward the woman with his hands held up to show he didn't have anything, he soon stood near her and waited for the woman to let Crucent go.

As Zidane approached them the older Mithran kept her eyes on him constantly as she wrapped her tail firmly around his wrist so he couldn't go anywhere. "Good boy. Now we arrre gonna leave herrre, she stays behind, and *you* will make me a Queen overrr the Mithrrrans boy!"

She had barely finished talking before she raised her hands over her head, and slammed the butt of the knife straight into Crucent's temple, causing the Elvaan to barely sigh before she folded up on the ground, passed out from the pain,
with a few drops of blood trickling down her face from where the skin had been broken.

Quickly walking behind Zidane the Mithran wrenched both of his arms behind his back and again used her strong tail to secure his arms as she held the knife up against his neck, pressing just enough to make sure he felt the razorsharp steeledge against his throat.

"do you honestly think Im stupid enough to believe she's ourrr Worrrld Leader? therrre have been no cerrremony orrr any news of it, we would have hearrrd. But ten points forrr orrriginality boy, I'll give you that Now let's go, slowly, down to the otherrrs so they can see that *I* am the one who will be theirrr new Queen"

Zidane frowned when he felt her tail wrap around his wrist and even more so when he saw her knock out Crucent in such a violent way, he then said to the female "Ya queen fits pretty well......since you are such a royal bitch......seriously did your mom forget to give you enough hugs or what.....there was no need to do such a violent act to knock out my friend you know." Zidane then felt her place the knife tip against his throat while using that tail of hers to hold his wrist, he shook his head a slight bit and then said "And yet again you are back to using deadly force to get your way......yep you going to be one hell of a queen alright........one hell of a let down that is.........no wonder male mithran are so rare. You women got very little care for their well being and happiness......"

Zidane then started to get walked around a bit by the female as she told him how his story was a lie but it was original, he smirked a bit and then said "And I bet you wouldn't believe I am the current world leader of the ninth planet called Gaia huh......ya didn't think so...." Zidane was going to bide his time........he knew he had to do this just right or he would end up with a nice stab in his throat.

Snarling she stopped short and went right up to his face, leaning in close "yourrr absolutely rrright, I don't believe you, but let's just say you arrre who you say you arrre. All the betterrr; my powerrr as yourrr Mate and Queen will surrrpass any otherrr Mithrrran Queen that has everrr lived!"
Practically besides herself at the thought of her becoming so Powerful, she decided it was time to be alot nicer to him, so she put away her knife and wrapped her arms around his neck seductively "I think, this time arrround, when I become Queen, I will not perrrmit my subjects to mate with you. Yourrr farrr too special for that."

Zidane rolled his eyes as he listened to the older feline go on and on about power and control and what not, he was starting to feel like he was dealing with Queen Brahne again and that thought caused him to vomit a slight bit in his throat though he swallowed it back down. The thought of that ugly woman was just not good for his health, he knew the lady was Garnet's second mom but still......how does one look that damn ugly and still be a human?

It was then that he felt the female wrap her arms around his neck and moved the knife away, he then said "Well that would be rather nice but a bit pointless........I'm not a mithran you know I'm a genome.....totally different race that doesn't have a male shortage ya know......so honestly I doubt that they will call you queen or anything for mating with me. Your kits would be mix breeds not pure bred mithran.....so yet again all this was pointless.....so can't we just forget all this and let me go?" Seriously how hard is it for them to notice he doesn't have some of their features like the ears or the nose thing.....

" NO!"

Slapping him hard across the face, she grabbed his face forcefully and snarled "you arrre mine, you will be my mate and I will be Queen! That is all therrre is too it! You can't do betterrr than me boy, unless your 'frrriend' back there..." she tossed her head impatiently indicating where they had left Crucent "... is a little morrre than just a frrriend"

Watching Zidanes face closely she grinned widely when she saw how he reacted to her mentioning of Crucent. "oooh! Dearrry me; it seems she was, how cute! Well forrrget that tall bitch, she was meat to be wasted! Soon my sisterrrs will spot herrr and kill herrr anyway."

Zidane's head rang a bit when he felt that hard slap across his face before listening to the woman ran on and on about power and what not, he was going to humor her bu then he heard her say Cru would be killed and his eyes became cold and hard. The crimson red eyes stared into her eyes like daggers, he then said "Diplomacy has failed us it seems......too bad for you." Soon after a Terran Rune appeared between his body and the feline's, it glowed for half a second before a powerful explosion smashed into the woman's body and forced her away from him rather quickly.

This did get his hands free of her tail too since it wasn't nearly strong enough to keep her from getting knocked away, he then turned toward where Cru was at and shot off toward her location in a last ditch effort to reach her before that woman's sisters do.

Screaming as the shock and force of the Rune hit her, the Mithran flew backwards and slammed her head against a wall, passing out from it.

A little further back, Crucent groaned as she regained consciousness, her head pounding from the hit she had taken. Feeling her temple gently, she tried to get up but decided against it as the movement had caused her to nearly black out again. Examining her fingers, she saw the blood and cursed silently. Damn mad cat! if she ever laid eyes on that woman again she'd flay her alive even if it was the last thing she did.

Rolling onto her back, she lay still for a few seconds longer, then she saw a flash of light and heard a bang up ahead. Deciding this was probably not the best place to be right now, she forced herself to get back up on her feet, and nearly threw up when she finally managed it. Leaning against a wall, she tried to think.

Staying wasn't an option, as the Mithrans would have heard the noise and would come running to check it out pretty damn quick. The idea of a whole slew of them, ready to kill her right now didn't seem appealing at all, and she had no idea where Zidane had been taken too so she figured the best thing would be to get the hell out of there as soon as possible and go look for him. Just as she was about to leave however, she heard running feet over gravel approaching.

Hiding herself behind a stack of big wooden boxes, she slipped on her Claws silently as she hunkered down and waited.

Zidane was pleased that his move had knocked the female cat out and let him get away without too much trouble, but as he searched around for Cru he was a bit bothered to see that the place where she was knocked out at was empty now. He didn't see hide or hair of her and that caused him to worry that she was taken already and was dragged off to get killed and then dumped into some ditch in a remote place to get eaten by wildlife.

He shook his head though and quickly checked the area since maybe Cru might just be hiding as she recovers....though he mostly thought that just to help ease his thoughts as he began the search while thinking 'Damn it girl you better not be lost to me........if you are I'll fucking kill that fucking old bitch cat....'

Peering carefully around the corner of one of the boxes, Crucent relaxed when she saw it was Zidane who had returned. Sighing with relief she stood up and walked over to him as she put her Claws away again "hey honey, are you all right?" looking him over she didn't see any blood or damage and felt a wave of relief wash over her as she hugged him close and gave him a kiss.

Looking into his eyes she smiled a little and said "now that the mad lady is gone, cause i assume the flash was you somehow, can we go? or do you still think getting sexed to death would be fun?"

Still feeling a bit dizzy she held his hand to steady herself a little as she said "cause I have a splitting headache and really want to go somewhere and lie down for a little while."

Zidane quickly jerked toward the sigh he heard but was happy to see that it was none other than Cru, he as then happily surprised by her giving him a tight hug and a kiss to which he returned happily as his tail coiled around her leg. He then said "Ya I'm okay as you can see, got slapped is all but eh.......you guess right on the flash. Hit her with a free energy attack and sent her flying into a wall. As for the fun......eh the old saying of 'its all fun and games till someone gets hurt.' applies to this situation, the old cat too it way too far so ya lets get out of here. But I am going in stealth mode so they won't spot me." Zidane did pull Cru down for him to kiss her head a few times before saying "And when we get on the airship we'll help heal that wound up, and ya I know we could go through the jungle....but do you reallyyyyy want me to have to come back here to get my airship?"

Zidane didn't wait for an answer as he called the crew on his Q-Phone and set up a meeting near the coast, he then used a ancient ninja trick to make himself vanish from sight. He then said "We need to get back to the beach....act like I'm not with you and lay low...I got an ability that can handle large crowds but I rather not blast a large group of women....just makes me feel bad."
