Just what the Doctor ordered (Xanxus only, others PM to join)

Xanxus actually listened to her as she laughed. For the first time he was beginning to think he had actually fallen for a woman. This wouldn't end up like the typical one-night-stands he would normally have. No he could see himself going far with this elven woman. She was a world leader to top it all off, that could let him pull some strings when he needed to. But that wasn't his main goal.

"but... if I may, can I ask how you got them? unless of course you'd rather not say, in wich case i'll understand."

Xanxus shook his head again briefly. "I was young and arragent. I was brought up to be a possible leader of my father's mafia but I ended up finding out he had adopted me. I was furious and tried to take over by force when I found out anyone who wasn't blood couldn't take over. He ended up freezing me for a number of years and the melting ice left the scars."

Listening to his story Crucent was shaken when she heard that he had actually been frozen, for years!

"That's terrible! I'm so sorry for you. Your father sounds like a very tough man, it must have been rough growing up around him."

Not thinking about it she took a hold of his hand and gave it a light squeeze to offer some compassion and sympathy, not really stopping to think that the son of a Mafia leader probably wasn't the most sensitive of persons or even needed her show of sudden support. Suddenly realizing what she had done, she looked down on their hands and tried to pull her hand away "Im sorry, I probably shouldn'thave done that, I just... felt bad for you..."

Blushing she smiled cautiously at him, enjoying the feel of his strong fingers intertwined with her own.

"That's terrible! I'm so sorry for you. Your father sounds like a very tough man, it must have been rough growing up around him."

Xanxus felt soomething odd. She had taken his hand in her's and held it, lacing her fingers with his. Hier skin was soft compared to his. He was actually a bit dissapointed when she realized what she did and stopped.

"Like I said. I was young and arrogant. My father is a kind old man but he knows what needs to be done and how to protect people."

"Im sorry, I probably shouldn'thave done that, I just... felt bad for you..." Xanxus was still focusing on the feeling of her skin, how smooth and soft it was against his own rough and hardened hand. Instead of saying anything he reached out and took her hand in his this time, lacing his fingers between her's.

As she felt him take a hold of her hand, she just smiled and let him do so, enjoying it.

"Still sounds like you had a tougher upbringing then me. My parents were fairly strickt, but I still got room to make my own mistakes as the years passed..."

Stroking her stomach gently with her other hand, she said almost too herself "... I wonder if I will do it differently from them."

Xanxus actually looked at her side ways for a moment. "You can't expect me to believe someone with a body like yours is expecting a kid?" He asked, still holding her hand.

Giving him an almost apologetic look, Crucent said nothing but just nodded before she pulled her hand away from his.

Taking a deep breath, she said "thank you for the copliment, but, I am all the same. The father and i... are no longer together, but he knows and is supportive enough. and I am only just shy of 2 months so, it won't really begin to show for another 2 or 3 weeks still... I just... thought you should know, before anything happened..."

"The runt would need a father, wouldn't he? I don't imagine the real one will actually take much of a role in it if he left both of you." He was hinting he didn't really care if she had a child or not. Heck maybe he could do better for it than he did for himself growing up. Maybe being thought of as a father would even help Xanxus himself.

"If you'd be willing to let me, I'd be willing to try and help raise the kid." He said as he brought her hand up and kissed the back of it lightly.

Utterly floored by Xanxus' kind offer, Crucent felt tears well up in her eyes and she blinked furiously to not start crying right then and there. Instead she gave him a long look and said with a shaky voice "That is so kind of you, and, I'd like that alot but, shouldn't we at least have a dinner together first? looking at him she had a suddenly playful smile on her lips as she continued "dont get me wrong, i am attracted to you, but, we've only just met, and its still 7 months left, so it's not like we don't have time to get to know eachother better"

Holding his face in her hands she leaned in as she closed her eyes and gave him a very gentle kiss on his lips before pulling back. "like that."

Xanxus watched her reaction at his proposal. No matter how hard she fought it, he saw she was ready to burst into tears right then and there.

"That is so kind of you, and, I'd like that alot but, shouldn't we at least have a dinner together first?" She started, continuing on to explain "Dont get me wrong, i am attracted to you, but, we've only just met, and its still 7 months left, so it's not like we don't have time to get to know eachother better."

"Well, I think a top quality meal together could happen. How do you feel about having it tonight?" He smirked before she drew him in and kissed his lips.

Giggling she replied "i think I can manage that yeah. Do I need to dress up for it?" Feeling cheered up by the thougth of a handsome man taking her out for dinner cheered her up a bit and she found herself looking forward too it.
"What time do you want me to be ready by the way?"

"Do I need to dress up for it?" She asked him after answering. Xanxus thought about it for a few minutes before answering, "You can wear what you think is appropriate. It'll just be good food and the two of us anyway."

Nodding Crucent smiled at him, then gave him another kiss "okay; i'll be here then."

Having settled on the dinner plans Cru was very happy, and also, just bordering on sunburned. Turning around so she lay face-down on her chair, she rummaged with one hand in a bag she had with her, till she pulled out a sun lotion and held it up to Xanxus, then looked at him with big brown puppydog eyes and said "Can you please do me a huuuge favor? i need this on my back or ill burn to a crisp, but I cant reach my own back. Could you do it for me pretty please?"

Xanxus watched as Crucent layed back down on her stomach after kissing him again. Using a single hand she dug into a bag. Her hand came away with a bottle of sun block and held it out to him.

"Can you please do me a huuuge favor? i need this on my back or ill burn to a crisp, but I cant reach my own back. Could you do it for me pretty please?" She asked with puppy dog eyes. Normally Xanxus would have just layed back down to finish enjoying the sun but instead he reached out and took the bottle from her. Putting his drink down he squirted some into his empty palm and put the bottle down. He rubbed both hands together and started working the lotion into the skin on Crucent's back.

Smiling she closed her eyes and relaxed, as she felt his warm strong hands begin to rub the lotion on her back "mmmmhmmm.... that feels so nice, thank you very much Xanxus" thinking to herself, she begun to understand how much she had missed having a man in her life. And let's face it, Xanxus wasn't ugly no matter how you looked at it. yeees... this dinner thing might be just what the doctor ordered. She smiled to herself as she was starting to look forward to the dinner.

"Isn't it only natural for a man to ask out attractive women? There really isn't a need to thank me for that." He said before running his index finger along her spine from the base of her neck to the bottom of the small of her back.

Shivering slightly as Crucent felt his finger caress her, she turned her head and said
"I know it's normal, but I still like to be polite."

Grinning playfully at him she then winked and said "it's almost a pity your an Assassin, you have great hands for massaging as well" Sighing happily despite getting a backrub from an Assassin, Cru actually found herself relaxing more and letting her guard down more as well wich was a welcome surprise.

Xanxus felt Crucent shiver under the trail of his finger. She lifted herself and turned her head to look at him. "I know it's normal, but I still like to be polite."

Then she gave him a grin and a wink. "It's almost a pity your an Assassin, you have great hands for massaging as well" He felt her relaxing under his touch with a sigh.

"I'm glad you feel that way." Xanxus said as he spread out his fingers and dug them into her back. "But I can't say I haven't been trained well. It looks like you're starting to let your guard slip, eh?" He asked with a grin as he continued to give her a back massage.

Chuckling she folded her arms under her chin and replied "yeah, it's probably not the wisest move around you, but i'll take my chanses all the same. As far as I know, I have yet to make any real enemies that want's me dead, and besides; if you were to kill me now the whole dinner would be wasted."

After a little while Crucent realized she was about to fall asleep from the heat of the sun as well as from Xanxus' very nice massage, so she opened her eyes and shook her head a little, trying to wake up again as she apologised to him for dozing off.

Sitting up, she turned around to face him and stretched her neck as she said "thank you sooo much for the backrub, it was very nice."
Looking at he sun that was now beginning to set, she smiled and said " I think I had better go get ready for the dinner though" Getting to her feet she looked at Xanxus and said "but i'll be back here in a bout 2 and a half hours then" smiling she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before going up too her room for a shower and a change of clothes.

As far as I know, I have yet to make any real enemies that want's me dead, and besides; if you were to kill me now the whole dinner would be wasted." She explained to him as she folded her arms under her chin.

"You bring up valid points. Doesn't seem they made any mistakes in making you the leader of your world." He said as he continued tomassage her back. He watched her as she started to drift off to sleep, fighting to keep awake. She finally dozed off but qoke up just as quickly, saying sorry for falling asleep like she did.

Sitting up she stretched her neck and told him, "Thank you sooo much for the backrub, it was very nice. I think I had better go get ready for the dinner though, but i'll be back here in a bout 2 and a half hours then." She got up shortly after and kissed Xanxus on the cheek before heading back to what he assumed was her hotel. He himself made his way back to the mansion that the Varia operated out of to prepare himself.

Two hours later Crucent walked down to the lobby of her hotel again.
Waiting for Xanxus, she sat down in a big chair by a window to easily see him when he approached. She attracted some looks from the other male guests in her mid-thigh light purple dress with silver decorations around her waist and the bust, but she ignored them.

Smiling too herself she was a little surprised at herself, having agreed to a dinner with a man she had only just met a few hours earlier. This wasn't like her at all, but; he was nice enough, a little silent but charming all the same. It might be fun, and fun was something she needed now.

Xanxus had about a half hour left yet he was already dressed up and heading for the door. The people along the road didn't pay him much mind, except for the women. They watched his every move. The deep purple dress shirt he was wearing was buttoned in the middle but left some of his chest exposed. Since it was untucked the bottom flapped lightly against him, showing glimpses of his abs. A black belt, black jeans and black combat boots made up the rest of his outfit. He looked like he was ready for the club but made it look like he was dressed for a fancy dinner. The look really managed to work for him.

He came up on the hotel where Crucent was staying. Even though she hadn't told him where she was staying he was able to get the information easily.

Sipping her glass of wine, Crucent was currently sitting in the bar, waiting for Xanxus to arrive whilst trying to ignore the continually more pushy male guests who didn't seem to take her more then chilly behaviour towards them and repeated decline of their drinks as a no. Leaning across the bar, she asked the barman what the time was and was informed it was now 19.12. Thanking him she was extremely glad to hear it wasn't long left before they were supposed to meet up cause if she had to wait much longer some of the other guests would definately end up hurt in a very personal area of their bodies.

The hotel Crucent was staying in was impressive, not as much as the mansion Xanxus lived in and worked out of, but impressive non-the-less. The Varia leader walked through the lobby and looked for the bar. He still had some time and figured he could try to get a decent glass of tequila or scotch while he waited.

As he walked into the bar he noticed a swarm of men around the bar. Men were also walking away from the same spot, upset or even physically injured. Finally all but one man had moved away from the central spot. That was when he noticed a very familiar back. Xanaxus approached the man and woman, seeing the male's constant hitting on her was annoying her to no ends. Xanxus tapped the man on the shoulder and punched him in the jaw as he turned around. The man fell to the floor while the Varia leader took the seat and ordered a bottle of tequila.

Amazed Crucent just watched as Xanxus suddenly arrived and got the attention of the last drunk guy that was still trying to hit on her before quickly dispersing of the man with a heavy blow to the mans jaw that brought him down to his own little fairyworld.

Laughing a little she gave Xanxus a hug and said jokingly "I should have thought of that myself. Thank you for helping me out, I appreciate it alot"

Giving him an appraising look she smiled and kissed his cheek "you look very sexy, the colors suit you." sitting down she felt a quick pang of pain in her stomach but ignored it just as fast. She wanted a pleasant evening out, and she had experienced far worse pain then that in her day so she wasn't about to let a little twinge ruin the evening.

Even so, she called on the barman and asked for a glass of juice instead, no need to be stupid either, all things considered. As he returned with a glass of mango juice, she raised her glass at Xanxus as she smiled at him "to a stressfree evening, and your charms.."

As he sat down Crucent hugged Xanxus and laughed at what he had just done. "I should have thought of that myself. Thank you for helping me oout, I appreciate it alot." She told him.

She looked him over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "You look very sexy, the colors suit you." She told him as she sat down. He noticed a small pain in her stomach when she sat down, but he wouldn't be the one to bring it up. His drink came shortly. To his surprise, neither the barman or anyone else had noticed or cared that he had just slugged a man.

Crucent herself had ordered a drink, but it was only a simple glass of mango juice. When the drink arrived she raised the glass towards Xanxus., "To a stressfree evening, and your charms." Xanxus returned the gesture by knocking the tip of his bottle against the rim of her glass. "To a fine woman and an enjoyable night."
