Cain opens his coat and shirt, showing a deep black mark over his heart, then continues," I carry My Darkside.. my true inner undead his power is great but it comes at a cost.. but years ago, I finaly completed my training and recived the title of Missionary.. a Traviling priest of light.. I had be treviling for so long and for so far."

Bala's throat would not accept the cooling water as easily as she would have liked. It caught in her throat and she began coughing up what had just gone down in quite a fit. Her eyes were fixed on Cain, even though her body had moved into a sitting position.

His hand on her forehead felt calming, although it was cold. She smiled warmly and snuggled down into the grass, still being quite drowsy from the lack of sleep the night before. Her eyes closed, but the trauma of choking had caused her to be quite awake, so she listened to Cain's tale quietly.

At the end of her friend's speech, a tear managed to escape from her eye and slid down her cheek. It landed on the grass and looked like a drop of dew as it sparkled in the sun.

Alastar listens with interest, at the end of Cain's story Alastar "says" "I now see why I thought you were wrong." Alastar saw the conversation as done so he started to look around the camp, checking for any sign of threats. "So what now friend?"

Cain rises and looks to the ruins, and back to his compaion, and back to Bala, whos heart was beating faster then one who was sleeping, but speaks still gently," We should check some of the ruins for supples.. its a long road to Zannerkan(pardon me if I mispell it) then we need to be carful, according to folk its covered in Fiends... so we will need to be much more carful.." Cain stokes the fire the sun rising slowly then a thougth strikes him," We... could get there much faster.. if...*he looks towards the Chocobo, then back to Alastar with "it might be the only way to get there faster" smiles.

Bala stood to her feet, listening to what Cain had said, and found him looking at a Chocobo, then turning his attention back to Alastar with a devious grin on his face. The look made her shudder, and yet somehow, she still managed to feel safe around her vampiric friend.

She motioned to Alastar to let him know that he could get up on her shoulder. "I slept well, O'Scath." she said in a matter-of-fact tone. She smiled at Cain for a moment. Thank you... she wanted to say to him but didn't. "What's the plan?" Where exactly is this Zanarkand place? It sounds as though it may be a place of holiness...

With all of her musing put to the back of her mind, the young samurai focused only on the giant yellow bird she still beheld with wonder. I hope you allow us ride you in a peaceful manner, Chocobo... The name still sounded strange to her in her mind. It pleaded her to ask why someone would name a giant yellow, fluffy version of an ostrich and a chicken a "Chocobo" but she could not find the way to ask without seeming a bolt of fabric short a kimono, so she just sighed.

Cain, I can't wait to see this ugly yet beautiful world...with you and any other friends I may gain along the way.

"I take it you both want a birdy to ride? as for me i am fine on me four paws thank you." Alastar waited for the reply before asking "What will you give it if i must convince it?"

Alastar went over to converse with the birds.

Cain chuckles and pulls out some chocobo feed and smiles," They love this.. as for four paws do you think you can keep up with them.."Cain chuckles again, and then looks to Bala," we must capture a chocobo, then we ride to Zanarkand, a place of holy ruins and reputaion.. many told me if We must see Spira we must see Zanarkand.." Cain smiles at alastar and calls out," Dont let them lole you into a false sense of security.."

Right...but as for me I like the connection to the earth my feet bring...sigh, Cain, you are so...strange. Riding a "Chocobo" why ever it may be called that? Psh, yeah, okay. The look that came across her face was one of contempt and confusion.

She simply strode over to Cain and sniffed a little loudly. "I'm with O'Scath on this one. Have your fun." her voice was soft mixed with barely a hint of a spring frost. She still managed to look at the bird with a little awe.

The samurai gave the moomba a small smirk, motioning to him that while Cain was trying to catch the bird that they should be a little mean and run. The smirk planted on her face could only mean trouble. For some reason, the girl felt like being reckless around Cain.

She slyly stalked up to him and put her arms around him, or at least tried to. Her head inched closer to his ear, "I have this game at home called 'tag'...you're it!" Bala giggled with glee as she ran off to the ruins at a very quick gate. "Catch your bird, ashen legs!"

Alastar decides to be nice and go converse with the birds on Cain's behave.

Alastar returns with a chocobo "He goes by Fluffy. He wants fresh apples with the feed and they said he is the fastest they know of," Alastar "stated".

Alastar stretches out in the warmth of the sunlight to wait for Cain and Bala.

Cain smiles and nods holding up a appll and feed for the chocobo, and then slowly gets on it and smiles as the bird rises up, pating the bird behind the head, as Cain leads the bird towards Bala and taps her head, and laughs," No.. youre it!" Suddenly Cain dashes off in thc Chocobo towards the Ruins Knowing full well this was going to be fun.

Ow...ow! stupid bird! Bala merely grunted and pushed herself to go full speed, which, at this rate, was a little faster than the over-grown chicken's steady pace. She started to run on bits of broken metal which let her know that the ruins were close.

"For an old man with no sleep, I still know how to run, huh?" There was still that smirk on her face as she ran. "Guess I should think of a prize, huh?" She looked at Alastar and laughed. The girl was having fun for once.

Alastar was still snoozing as they harrowed off into an adventure.Luckily Alastar had none of the dreams that normally plague him. When he awakes he is alone so he finds their trail and starts to follow them.
