PostSubject: PSICOM at its worst   PSICOM at its worst EmptyWed Jun 15, 2011 11:35 am

Relyt alone, walking through the streets of Cocoon, questioning himself what his purpose in life is. His own people he knew turned on him, PSICOM wanting him behind bars, and him being falsely accused for crimes that he did not take part of. He looks for people he can trust, people he can fit in with, and people he can become friends with. But Relyt keeps walking alone, without having a clue that PSICOM is following him.

Relyt later on, ends up at his old home which is specifically known to be an old shack on a rooftop of a 7 story building. Relyt enters his home and flickers a switch, two lights turn on and light up enough for him to see in his home. He sits on his bed and pulls out a small box underneath of it. The box is designed with a black coating of paint with a few chipped off areas of the box. Still under depression and still remembering the death of his parents, Relyt can't believe he somehow made it through all of this by himself. Relyt looks at the box, and opens it. Inside is a necklace, a photo, an old, rusty yo-yo and a piece of paper folded up enough to fit in the box. He lifts up the necklace, and examine's it. Relyt gets a flashback in his head and see's how his mother and father died. Then he slowly lower's the necklace into the box. Next, he pulls out the old, rusted out yo-yo. He remembered how his dad taught him how to play with a yo-yo. A tear, sliding down Relyt's cheek from his eye, then he slowly lowers the yo-yo into the box as well. Afterwards, he pulled out the photo, and it showed him and his parents when he was little. He placed the picture back in the box. And finally, the note. The note his father gave to him before his parents were killed. His father told him to read it when he was ready to know the truth of PSICOM. But as he reached for the note, he hears a beeping noise go off for a few seconds. He soon realize's what it is, closes the box, and rushes outside of his home.

Relyt's home blew up in just a matter of seconds after he got out. He turned back and saw his only home he had left burn to the ground. As he shed's his shocked and saddened emotions upon his last refuge, PSICOM move's in for the kill. A group of PSICOM grunts move in, (An estimate of 8 PSICOM units) and point there guns at Relyt. One soldier move's forward a bit and say's, "RELYT THIMS, BY THE ORDER OF PSICOM, YOU ARE HERE BY SENTENCED TO BE UNDER ARREST FOR THE CRIMES OF YOUR PARENTS IN THE POSITION OF DEFECTOR'S. YOU HAVE TEN SECONDS TO COMPLY." Relyt pay's no attention to the soldiers, and ready's his weapon. He is now in the emotion of anger and rage as PSICOM count's down to when they can fire. Reylt turns back at the soldiers, and say's, "You want to play that way, ok lets play!"

With out hesitation, Relyt attacks with his yo-yo, but as it gets to its full length of his string, blades extend from the rims of the yo-yo and shred apart one of the grunts. Then he pulls the yo-yo all the way across the line of troops and each and everyone of them are cut apart. Another troop charges towards him and Relyt strings the yo-yo at the troop. But before the yo-yo extends the blade, the grunt catches it and say's, "Now what, your toy didn't work this time." Relyt smiles in an evil manner, and reveals a handle attached to his titanium string, and on the handle is a button. Relyt presses the button and a sonic boom emits from the string and pushes back the soldier. Relyt reel's back the yo-yo and gets into a position of him being ready to fight.

PSICOM at its worst Empty
PostSubject: Re: PSICOM at its worst   PSICOM at its worst EmptyFri Jun 17, 2011 12:22 pm

Raven placed the file on Relyt Thims down back on the inside of his vest. The kid was a bit of a mystery to him. He didn't know why he hated PSI-COM so much, and he didn't really care. The only thing that mattered to Raven was that the hatred was there, and that the kid could fight. And after breaking him out of prison a few weeks ago, Raven had seen both of those issues proven.

So now he was tailing the kid, making sure that he was actually a straight arrow and TF 3 material. The kid was definitely not a soldier, but he had something that everyone needs, spunk.. That kid would not go down without a fight and when he did fight, you had better keep you distance from him. The yo-yo that everyone sees as a toy is actually a deadly weapon that is even deadlier in his hands. And now it seemed like Raven was again going to be able to see that.

He watched as PSI-COM forces closed in around the shack like a noose around one's neck. If there was one thing this kid lacked, it was situational awareness. But that was a skill easily learned. Raven was already moving when the shack exploded. He dove across the gap between buildings and tackled the closest soldier near him. He grappled the man's pistol from his hand. As he did so, he reeled back on his heals and brought the man's pistol down into his face. He fired once and the fight was over.

He spun around to see that Relyt was holding his own against the others, easily swiping them out with the long metal wire that was the string of his weapon. Raven brought his pistol and the stolen pistol up to fire at the remainning soldiers as he made his way towards Relyt. When he reached Relyt, he pulled him down into cover, just as a bullet ripped past the kid's head.

He looked at Relyt and said, "Good to see you again, Relyt. Seems I have to get you out of another jam today too. Follow me." Raven stood up out of cover and began firing again. He dashed for the edge of the building where the Kestrel had just appeared and was hovering to pick them up. Raven stepped up inside the open rear hatch and turned to shoot at the PSI-CCOM soldiers alongside the turret gunner that was firing away alongside of him. The airship tilted and began to pull away from the building. Raven noticed this and shouted out to Relyt, "JUMP FOR IT!!!"

PSICOM at its worst Empty
PostSubject: Re: PSICOM at its worst   PSICOM at its worst EmptyFri Jun 17, 2011 11:09 pm

Relyt was still consumed in anger, and wanted to finish what PSI-COM started. But he knew he had to finish his business later. He turned over, and saw an airship, with Raven inside yelling for Relyt to jump. But he owed that much to Raven, in spite of how Raven broke him out of prison. So Relyt had to react quickly before it was too late. But then it hit him when he noticed his box was missing. He turned his head to the other side of the building, and saw the box near the edge of the building.

He had to make this move quick and swift without any mistakes. Relyt, without hesitation, ran out of cover at a very high speed. He slide on the ground and caught the box while doing so and ended up sliding off the edge of the building. But his quick reflexes did not fail him yet. Relyt grasped a pole and swung around in a 180 degree turn, and ran his way across the roof.

He felt the flow, the motion of his energy course through his body as he sprinted through the roof. He saw that PSI-COM was desperate, and were hailing bullets on him and only him. He questioned himself on that matter, but brushed it aside for now with the desperate need to get away with his life intact first.

Relyt then knew he had to pay attention to what his objective was. He rushed towards the airship as fast as he could, with the mindset that he had to do it. Failure was not an option. Relyt jumped off of the building and reached out as far as he could, but made no succession. Relyt pretty much jumped off of a 7 story building. He thought that this would be the end for him, his last breath, his last sight. All he can see is the hovering of the airship above him. He was shocked and scared, but happy because he thinks that he can see his parents when he dies.

But lady luck didn't give up on him yet. Relyt, in an astonishing move, lands his feet first on the ground, and released an outburst of wind all around him. He couldn't believe what he just did. He looked around him and saw that people were pushed back by his outburst of wind. It included PSI-COM themselves and many of their own troops. Relyt looked at them and smiled in an evil manner again. He yelled out, "READY FOR ROUND TWO?" The surviving troops were determined and persistant. They didn't give up so easily, but then again, neither does Relyt. Relyt never backs down to anyone, even if it included PSI-COM's leaders.

Relyt prepare's his yo-yo, and gets back in his combat stance, waiting for his victims to retaliate. One soldier actually had the guts to try to attack Relyt. But as he fires his gun, Relyt felt the wind blow behind him, blowing towards the soldiers. Relyt was expecting this to happen. As the wind blew past Relyt, he used it to increase his speed at an extreme rate. He passed each bullet quickly and at his extreme speed, he punched the soldier in the face, and the soldier flew into the wall.

Relyt felt overconfident, and very hyper on his energy. But as he did, he got shot at his back. Relyt screamed in pain, and PSI-COM circled in for the kill. He kneeled down thinking its the end for him.

PSICOM at its worst Empty
PostSubject: Re: PSICOM at its worst   PSICOM at its worst EmptyMon Jun 20, 2011 9:55 pm

Raven reached out with his free hand to catch Relyt. But as soon as Relyt left the ground, Raven knew he wasn't making it. He leaned as far out to try to grab him, but watched him fall right past his finger tips. All he could do was watch in horror as the poor boy tumbled to his fate. But somehow that fate changed. Somehow that boy that should have been splattered all over the pavement was spared. Raven didn't know how , and frankly, didn't care how. He just knew that the kid needed help. He turned to the pilot and told him to lower the Kestrel down.

The Kestrel lowered and Raven readied himself. He was going to fast-rope down and help the kid, then get him to safety, but that didn't seem like it was going to happen. As he approached the rear of the fuslage to hook up his rope, a rocket screamed across the sky and slammed into thhe bird. Raven was knocked back off his feet and he lost grip on his pistol. He looked up and saw the rear turret gunner firing in all directions. He also noted his pistol teetering on the edge of the platform. He pushed himself up and dove for the pistol. But just then another rocket flew out. This time the pilot was ready, which was bad for Raven. The pilot banked hard to get out of the way and Raven was thrown out of the rear of the ship.

Raven tumbled through the air. He had his moment of "oh shit" and accepted that he was going to hit the ground and it was going to hurt. Bad. His mind was past all of that though. It was already trying to discern a way that he could make the fall and still be useful after it was done. He took a little too long thinking though and landed hhard on his front, just like a belly-smacker. He blacked out for a moment before coming to. He looked up in time to see Relyt punch a man into a wall and get shot. He tried to force himself up, but as he did so, hebegan to cough. He coughed up blood. Frowning at his own mortality, Raven did the only thing he could think to do.

He pulled out a flashbang grenade and pulled the pin. He chucked the thing next to Relyt so that he and all of the PSI-COM soldier near him would be blinded. He threw himself back down and waited for the tell-tale pop of the grenade exploding. Once it did, raven lurched forward. He got to his feet and drew his pistol, aiming at the closest enemy to Relyt. He fired once and watched as the man's head exploded in a pink mist. He then readjusted his aim for two more men who were covering their eyes in pain. He fired twwo shot that both found their targets. One found refuge in a PSI-COM soldier's lung while the other gashed through his partner's throat, nicking several arteries and sending blood everywhere. Raven adjusted once more and found two more targets covering their eyes. He fired twice more, and two more bullets found their marks. The one in the abdomen of a man, the other in his buddy's knee. By the time he had to reload,, Raven was standing next to Relyt and surrounded by several bodies.

He grabbed Relyt and forced him towards an open nearby building. He ushered him inside and placed him with his against the wall. He looked outside to inspect if the soldier had recovered yet or not. They hadn't. Raven took the hot barrel of his pistol and placed it against relyt's bullet wound to help stop the bleeding. It would hurt, but atleast he wouldn't bleed to death. He then took thd same barrel and placed it against the cigarette that now hung out of his mouth. The thing ignited and Raven was puffing away as he heard, "The LZ is too hot!!! We are going to have to find another landing spot! I think I see one a few blocks away. It's an old abandoned parking lot." come in over the radio

Raven frowned, this was definitely not his day. He put his pistol away and drew out his R-15 assault rifle before responding, "Roger, Bigbird. We are Oscar Mike." He looked at Relyt and said, "Let's move."

PostSubject: Re: PSICOM at its worst   PSICOM at its worst EmptyWed Jul 13, 2011 7:45 pm

Relyt, still disoriented by the flashbang, still tries to comply with Raven's orders, but the flashbang did more than he thought it would. Turns out, he wasn't just stunned, he was delusional. He was seeing the day his parents were brutally murder right in front of him. The emotional pain striving him grew with every second, making him engulfed with rage. He got the thoughts of getting payback, wanting revenge, and avenging the death of his parents.

The next thing he knew, he felt a burning sense within his wound and cried out. He had never felt that kind of pain in his life. But his vision starts to clear and his hearing is starting to recover. He saw someone else in his vision, someone next to him at the death of his parents. He couldn't get a close look at who ever it was, but he knew it was someone important. It hits him right in a flash, it is his long lost sister. He now had a purpose in life, he is no longer alone, and he now knows he's not the last of his family. Relyt is now fiercely determined to look for her.

He opens his eyes and looks up to see an airship hovering over him and Raven, then fly's away to an abandoned parking lot. But he gets the idea that they need to get to the lot to get the hell out of there. So he gets up out of cover, and see's that he is being fired upon and ducks back down. Now he needs to think of another idea to get the hell out of the streets. He remembered his wind cushion idea, if he can use air to support himself, he can use it against PSI-COM. So he closes his eyes and focuses, now emitting wind out of his hands and it forms into a ball. He opens his eyes, and gets up, and in a quick move, Relyt throws the wind ball into the streets, and knocks back a few soldiers, but its not enough to clear a path. So he decides to go with Raven's idea, gun for the LZ.

But how will he get there when there is almost no way of escape? Relyt remembered one of his combat tips, "Use the environment to your advantage." So Relyt peeks his head out of cover and looks around for anything useful. He spots out an oil tanker in the street that PSI-COM are using as cover. Relyt turns toward Raven and says, "Hey Raven, I think there's a way to shake those bastards off of us!" Relyt points his finger at the tanker,"SHOOT IT, IT WILL CLEAR US A PATH!" Relyt see's a soldier shoot at him and he move's back into cover. He now grows annoyed at the grunts shooting at him. Being shot at for nearly 30 minutes really made him lose focus of what he was doing in the first place. But now he is hoping that the oil tanker will clear them a path to the LZ. Relyt crosses his fingers and hopes it will work.

PSICOM at its worst Empty
PostSubject: Re: PSICOM at its worst   PSICOM at its worst EmptySun Jul 24, 2011 2:18 pm

Raven kept his cool the whole time they were fighting the PSI-COM soldiers. He was used to these firefights and especially used to how PSI-COM would fight. He knew all of there tricks and could even stay one step ahead of them at all times. But this kid, this Relyt, was throwing a wrench in his system. Yeah the kid was trying to help, but the constant use of magic was making the enemy break standard operating proceedures and was improvising. That was dangerous. Raven's job was improvisation, but most of his plans worked only if the enemy sticks to their plans.

It didn't matter though, he knew they would get out alive. What he didn't know is how many bullet holes they would get out with. Relyt had just thrown a ball of wind at the soldiers when Raven decided it was time for the big guns. He drew out his assault rifle and started to reign lead down on the soldiers. Most of them ducked for cover, each trying to stay alive so they could go home that night. But then Relyt got a horribly wonderful idea. Raven turned his gun on the conveniently parked oil tanker and let loose a volly of ammo. The bullets shredded the thin casing and the tanker went up in flames, taking a few PSI-COM soldiers with it. Raven smiled at the pyro-technics and then turned towards the parking lot.

He shoved Relyt along, making sure to stay between the kid and the enemy. Raven knew he could take a hit, but was a little leary about the kid. After all, he was just that, a kid. They entered the parking lot just as the Kestrel touched down, firing missiles down the street behind them. They both clambered inside and the bird took off, flying unscathed into the night. Raven closed the rear ramp and turned to face Relyt. So... You wanna tell me what the hell that was all about?"

PostSubject: Re: PSICOM at its worst   PSICOM at its worst EmptySun Aug 14, 2011 11:38 pm

Relyt got up, and started to collect his breath. In a way he couldn't describe it, he felt like he wanted to serve seconds to PSI-COM. But now things have plotted in a new course. He then looks to Raven, and starts to explain, "Yeah, I can tell you, oh wait, you saw what they were trying to do to me! They tried to kill me, I don't know why but they tried, to rip me apart! They killed my parents, destroyed my home, and now I'm a wanted fugitive!" Relyt then starts to panic, and then tries to calm down. Calming down wasn't a good thing for Relyt, when someone picks a fight with him, Relyt is sure enough to finish it. But the fight he was in recently really pissed him off this time. He lost his only hiding spot, and it was finally compromised and destroyed. He didn't want PSI-COM to get away with it that easily, but he was snatched by someone he barely even knows.

Relyt then pulls out the black box he grabbed before he jumped off the building, and sits down. He is frustrated with himself, how he didn't see this coming. now he cannot run anymore, he must stand against PSI-COM, and end this once and for all. The brutal past that has haunted him for years is about to come back, but in an even worse shape. But he thinks to himself, is he really gonna take on millions of soldiers and high ranking officers, when it is just him fighting? He is going to need some help, but to do so, he must find allies. Relyt does have the plans, but to execute them, he needs help.

"Well, since you have rescued me, its time we get to know each other. From the prison you broke me out of, we weren't properly introduced. My name is Relyt Thims, son of a murdered mother and father, and twin brother to a missing twin sister." Relyt opens his box and looks at his picture with him and a cut out portion of it. He doesn't know the origin of the picture, or why one half was torn away from the other. But this means that it could possibly be his sister. So now he has two problems to deal with, getting revenge on PSI-COM, and finding his long lost twin sister. He doesn't know which problem to deal with, both are already starting to confuse him. Relyt is still questioned on Raven's mysterious arrival, and how he knew Relyt more than Relyt knew him. The question that may start to give him a lead on both problems, is about to become sound.

"Ok, sir, I have a few question for you. Why did you save me? What purpose do you have me for? And if it's anything related to me helping you, will you help me?" Now that he got that out his head, he awaits Raven's response. Relyt hopes this can help him with every problem he has to live with.

PSICOM at its worst Empty
PostSubject: Re: PSICOM at its worst   PSICOM at its worst EmptySat Aug 20, 2011 12:29 pm

Raven stood there staring at Relyt as the poor kid began to freak out. Apparently he wasn’t as used to getting ambushed by PSICOM. Raven quickly looked to each one of his men as they all in turn shot glances at him. He knew what they were thinking. Why in the hell did we just risk our lives to save some kid who is as green as a leaf? It would take a lot of convincing them later when Relyt wasn’t around why they needed him. The truth was, they needed him for what he was, just another number. They were seven people against two whole armies, they needed more help.

And Relyt was just that. He was a good kid, very motivated by his want for revenge and he would be loyal. While the kid does seem to have issues with getting attacked, he’ll learn to get over that. After a few weeks with this crew he’ll be just another one of the guys. Well… Angel excluded. Raven would turn this kid into a warrior and with the way he wielded that magic, he would be a force to rival the best l’cie.

When Relyt sat down and pulled out his little black box. Raven shot a glance at Dusty, who in turn, rolled his eyes. Raven hated dealing with people when they were emotional like this. He could tell Relyt was in deep thought, so everyone just stood around staring at him. Raven was about to open his mouth to say something when the kid looked up to say something to him. Raven could see the fire in his eyes as he asked the questions. This kid definitely had the drive to become a great ally, he just needed the right training.

Raven breathed a sigh of relief. At least the kid wasn’t dumping all of those emotions on him. He knew exactly what was going through Relyt’s mind. It was the same thing that went through Raven’s mind every time he was face with an emotional problem, buckle down and get to work, get your mind off of those painful thoughts. Well, Relyt. I’m Raven. I run Task Force 3, which used to be a part of the PSICOM military. When PSICOM started to do things behind closed doors and killing innocents, we broke away. Now we have been fighting back, trying to stop the Purges before they begin and take back the cities for the people, not just one man’s ideals.”

Raven started to pace back and forth across the hull of the ship. ”As for our other questions. I saved you because it’s the right thing to do. Please don’t try to sit there and tell me that if you saw someone being attacked by PSICOM for no reason that you wouldn’t help them. As for the purpose of you being here, well that’s really up to you. If you want to join up with us and help us fight PSICOM, then you can train with us and I’ll see that you are taken care of. If you don’t well, then we can set down now and let you off to live the rest of you life by yourself. Finally, if you want our help, you have to be willing to come along and help us. We’re a family, we look out for each other here.”

When Relyt heard Raven say the term, family, he replied a few seconds after,"Yeah, family, I don't even know the meaning of family anymore. I have been busting my ass trying to survive alone, but with me being striven to look for remnants of my family, it's kinda hard since you have to live on with being alone. Plus seeing your parents get killed right in front of you!" Relyt turning his panicked expression into rage, started to have an outburst. "Why does this have to happen to me!? I lost my parents, My twin sister is missing, I have some sort of cursed magic, and I lost the only home I had left! God what do I do?" As he starts to finish up, he then stops in an instant. H e then retraces what he said to himself, and then, "My sister isn't dead, she's just missing, she's not dead, SHE'S NOT DEAD!!!" Relyt then starts to calm himself in relief that his sister could possibly be alive still. But he is not certain of her current status.

Relyt tries to remember specifically where he last saw his sister, but it was too long ago. Ever since they were both 7, when their parents were executed. So Relyt then tries to remember the day they were both separated, but there was no use. The memory took place in a time, long ago. Relyt then slams the wall and says, "Damnit, I was so close, so close, damn my head. I can't remember a thing about my sister. It's as if she was never alive!" He now hits his back against the wall, closes his eyes, and slides down to the ground, and just sits there. Now Relyt is starting to lose hope, to were he shouldn't back down. PSI-COM did this to him, now he is going to end this.

So he then looks up to the ceiling, and sees the lights. The lights some how get brighter to him, and a flash hits Relyt's eyes. He is now reliving his past, the time to where he was at the hospital at the age of 7. After when him and his sister were separated. All he can see, is bloody hands, and a necklace lasso'ed around one of his fingers. Relyt can hear his old 7 year old voice, saying to himself, "Why, why them, why not me? Why do they have to die?" Relyt then snaps out of his memory, but he can still hear the voice that says the same phrase over and over again. But he eventually snaps out of it.

He then asks Raven, "Ok, I want to know a few things, where are you taking me, what are you going to do with me, and if I help you, WILL you help me?" Relyt still looks at Raven, for him to at least accept the last part of the questions. It still questions Relyt, why he followed Ravens orders, why didn't he run when he had the chance.
