"Similar Topics" Advertisements....

For those of you who are aware of the situation we had regarding those "Similar Topics" links that appear at the bottom of posts....

Thanks to Tifa's vigilant eye, I sent her screenshot of the deplorable links to those at forumotion and reported it. I deactivated the traffic control option in the Panel, so those links should not come up for anyone again.

But I got some feedback from Forum support as to why this happened.
---First of all, not everyone sees the same ad links. It's all in what location you're in, especially the country.
---Second, certain words set off these links. What constitutes as funny in one culture has a totally different meaning to others. ((Goddess knows I found this out in the most embarrassing of ways when talking to Tifa and using everyday slang words as we do in America that would totally catch poor Tifa off guard and blushing profusely because such slang has a completely different, and inappropriate meaning where she lives.)) These words, or "terms" are what trigger which links pop up on someone's end of the internet, yet the ads are different for everyone.


Now there's still ad links that pop up below the site's tool bar ((*Home* *Calendar* *FAQ* etc, etc)). Should any member see anything inappropriate or obscene in those links, please inform me! But for now, the issue has been resolved.
