Quick Update

Okay, so I won't be here much for the rest of the week. My newborn nephew has been life flighted to Pittsburgh Children's Hospital due to his lung collapsing again this morning. He's stable, and we drove out to Pittsburgh to see him this evening.

They said something like this could take a few days or a few weeks to treat and get better. Each case is different. I've been visiting the mom as well who is still stuck in the local hospital here and unable to be with her baby until she's discharged probably Thursday, and I'll be helping to care for her pets and her older daughter whenever I'm needed during this time.

I just got home from Pittsburgh now, but heading right back out to do some painting I'm promised to help my sis in law with.

Nephew had a bad night. Hyperventilating and now developed pneumonia. Had four X-rays last night, now a chest tube and a new ventilation breathing system on him.


Up at Pittsburgh again with family. They got him stabilized again, so we're back to waiting to see how things go.

We totally understand, Kin. Take care of everything and we'll be here when you get back.

Just got home from the hospital..... the condition is still pretty much the same. He's stable, still on the ventilator, but they've been slowly lowering the oxygen little by little to see if the lung stays inflated on its own. Thus far the oxygen has been lowered to 25%, which is really good!

The stressing thing is, he STILL has fluid in the lungs and they've been constantly draining and draining it out all day. His poor little chest and tummy just heaves and heaves, so they've been keeping him sedated so he can get his rest. Poor thing can't cry or make a single sound with the tube all the way down his throat

So keep everything crossed guys! ^__^ I hope to have even better news tomorrow!!

NOW I'm off to go clean their house because the "mother in law" on the mommy's side was being an absolute bitch about the condition of their house and griped about it all night long to her grandaughter instead of being helpful and cleaning it up herself. -.-

Needless to say...... me and this woman are going to have words soon.... IF I even let her manage to get a single word out before I slam her through a wall
