Minor NPC fights

Sorry to bother but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm writing the opening post for my planned starter on the western continent in ff7. It involves an encounter with Nibel Wolves.

Shall I handle the entire interaction including the npc I've made up as a sign post/rescue target? Do mods control minor npcs and monsters? Or do they just step in if it seems a character is cheating/modding/rhino/ect. I've only noticed pc interaction on this forum thus far and not so much npc.

The rules on use of NPCs are fairly vague.

No, mods or other staff members do not control NPCs in individual threads unless they're already involved with their own PCs. Or unless it's an Event of some sort, in which case there's a special "Event Account" set up to handle the Antagonist of the matter.

The general guideline is that NPCs can be used for whatever purpose the players need them to be used. Issues of Character Control don't generally come into play with NPCs unless it's a recurring NPC (I've had a few now and then).

Random monster battles can be handled however you want them to. In terms of what I think you're describing, though, you can go through and write out the whole encounter if you want.

NPCs exist to move the story along for the PCs, and to that end they can be used however they're needed. At least, that's my understanding.

Muse pretty much covered everything, but there's just one other to keep in mind.

Canon characters are not permitted to be used as NPC's. You can write about them, or of them; but not NPC them.
