(OOC: Welcome to the first Sidequest, a simple topic meant to help familiarize members with the damage points system as well as the Sidequest system itself. Here is what you'll need to know.

1. Our goal for this quest is "Defeat the monster" (I will be taking care of the monster as well as damages received so no worries.)
2. Our subplot for this quest has yet to be introduced so keep your eyes peeled.
3. In order to keep things simple this time around, most if not all of the fighting will take place around the small town introduced in the topic.
4. The beast which was created solely for this Sidequest will be referred to as a Baenthe and will have a set amount of 15 Hit Points (HP).

The general synopsis is that a small country town has been home to a stray Baenthe that has wandered and made home inside the town church, causing trouble for all those who trespass around its "territory" Unable to rid of the beast themselves, the townsfolk have begun to send out notices calling for help, attracting a range of unsuspecting characters to a rather dangerous environment.)

The scent of a recent drizzle filled the crisp country air. A puzzled expression and furrowed eyebrows were plastered upon Zack's face as he walked along a cleared out path throughout the wooded area. "We can make airships as large as a city but we can't manage decent phone reception." Zack said to himself as he tapped at his flip phone as if to divine some kind of solution. Suddenly a low ping erupted from the speaker, causing Zack to nearly drop the phone in surprise. "Well, its at least still working..." Zack thought as he opened the just received text message. "Signal is rather poor near your location, try to neutralize the threat before others come and make a mess of the town. -Tseng" Zack flipped the phone closed with a lighthearted chuckle. "Yes sir bossy boss man" Zack said, somewhat tired of these constant favors, although it seemed these assignments were seemingly being done out of good will. A sudden whiff of smoke caught Zack's senses as his eyes darted up towards a trail of charred wood and ash littering the side of the path, a pitchfork having been buried into the side of a nearby tree. Stopping to observe the damage, Zack felt the tree bark, noticing a number of scratches, too deep for human nails. "Looks about right..." Zack thought, leaving the pitchfork in place as the warning that it clearly seemed to be. Putting his phone back in his pocket, a sudden thought occurred to Zack as he picked up his pace. He wondered if he was the only one called out for this, whatever this situation would turn out to be.

"Man its been forever since I've been on a job."
It had also been one hell of a job to sneak out of Windhurst to get here. The country air was really refreshing for a while and Tora was stretching as he walked down a little dirt road. Tora stopped in the middle of walking when the smell of charred earth and wood hit his nostrils. He perked his ears out to keep an ear out for anything nearby, but nothing seemed to be really close, except for the smell of someone up ahead of him. 'RING RING' Tora picked his phone out of his pocket and the sound of arguing children was coming from the other end.
"Tora the little one's are at it again about who gets a souvenir from the job youre on?"
Tora just laughed at his aunt and as he kept walking he thought about it for a second, seeing a pitchfork stuck in a tree up ahead.
"Well if I manage one it's Lily's turn this time. Uhm I gotta go tell the kids Dad sends them love and he'll be back soon."
Tora could hear his aunt telling them and in the background he heard to little voices yell out at him.
"Love ya daddy."
Tora hung up the phone and went towards the pitchfork that was left in the tree. Putting his Claws on he approached with caution. There were scratches all over the place on the tree, and unless he was dealing with a long nailed hag those were not marks a human could make. Tora looked up and pulled a small piece of paper out of his pocket and his smile slowly dissipated into more of a serious look that didnt seem to fit him in the slightest.
"Seems like I have the right place then. This could be interesting."

PostSubject: Re: Sidequest: Territorial Dispute   Sidequest: Territorial Dispute EmptySat Sep 21, 2013 2:46 pm

Zack continued his march down the wooded path, after several minutes he wondered briefly why a town would locate itself so far from civilization, cut off by the woods around them. There wasn't much time to contemplate the topic further as Zack noticed a break in the trees ahead, light streaming in from what he imagined was the entrance to the town. "Commuting must be a pain..." Zack thought as he walked through, his eyes adjusting to the considerable change in light.

The difference was startling, dirt road turned into cobbled paths, and instead of the small huts he had imagined, nice, well decorated houses littered the wide open space. The town had been carved into the forest, replacing the expanse of wood with impressive workmanship, adorned with a rather large building at it's center, a church that towered the other buildings by comparison. "I suppose we can guess what their priorities are." Zack thought, the building was practically spotless, with a church bell just barely visible from ground level. Returning his gaze back to the town below, Zack noticed a couple of townsfolk staring at him, frozen in place as if unsure on how to greet this intruder. Zack let out a nervous chuckle and lift his hand up for a greeting.

"Hello there, my name is Zack Fair, I've been sent from Midgar to help you solve your "beast" problem." The awkward silence that followed caused Zack to smile, somewhat embarrassed by the situation. Finally a voice spoke out, a woman, dressed in what would seem to be a rather worn down police uniform, with a small badge on her chest, barely visible behind her red hair. "Nice to meet you Mr. Fair, im the police chief here, I suppose you've already been filled in on the situation am I correct?" The woman put her hand out for a shake, with Zack returning the gesture, he was glad the silence had broken. "Somewhat yeah, seems like you've got a beastie occupying the town for a while, any casualties?" As Zack awaited her response, the woman seemed distracted by something behind him, a little ways away judging by her squinting eyes. "None thankfully, although I think it would be best we gave it a few minutes, it seems you aren't alone." Turning back, Zack watched for anyone coming through the wooded entrance.

Tora was just about getting tired of all the walking, he didn't see the point of having a village this far out of any major cities. He did have to admit that the scenery was something to look at. As he continued to walk down the path the forest seemed to become thicker so he was hoping he was getting closer. Not too soon after he noticed a bit of light up ahead that of which could possibly be his destination. He took off his claws and continued his given speed until he reached the entrance of a town his eyes adjusting fairly quickly to the change in light.

It was much more civilized looking than he expected, stone paths and houses that were built out of similar materials and a church that was right in the center. Tora thought it must have acted as a town center of sorts, he really didn't like dealing with religious nuts. He looked in front of him only to see two people staring right at him. One of them was a woman who was dressed as some sort of sheriff. The other was a guy who seemed to be around Tora's age, he looked like he was a mercenary of sorts so Tora thought maybe this thing that had made that mess back there might be a bit harder than he thought. That in itself would make this trip worth while. Tora raised his left hand in greeting and smiled brightly.
"Howdy, I see I'm not the only one responding to your little problem."

PostSubject: Re: Sidequest: Territorial Dispute   Sidequest: Territorial Dispute EmptySun Sep 22, 2013 2:52 pm

Zack looked behind the newcomer so as to see if anyone else came through the entrance, however it seemed it was just the two of them for the moment. "Howdy" Zack replied, turning back to face the woman who had greeted the stranger with a nod of her head. "I suppose not, we could use all the hands we can get really." Another uniformed officer, this one a stocky male well into his thirties stepped up behind the woman. "This is my lieutenant, he'll stay put and keep a look out for any stragglers responding to our little emergency." The man simply nodded and walked passed the three of them, the woman turning the other way as she began walking, gesturing with her hand for the other two to follow.

"I suppose we should fill you in with the details. The town's been terrorized by a Baenthe, it's been wrecking havoc on our food supply and just recently took up residence at our local church." Zack quickened his pace, attempting to catch up with the rather flustered officer. "I thought Baenthes usually traveled in packs, and they're usually more partial to the thicker parts of the forest." The woman only nodded, directing the two as she made a right turn, the three walking along the side of the church now and approaching it's entrance. "It's probably been separated from its group and made itself a new home in the church, Baenthes are highly territorial creatures." The three continued to walked, Zack setting his hand upon the side of the building as he let his hand glide across the stone surface. "We usually steer clear of these things, they're a walking mass of muscle and fast as a bullet to boot. I can see why you've had some trouble with it." Curving around the stone path, the three arrived at the church doors which had since been closed, sealing the beast momentarily.

Stopping before the church steps, the woman turned to face both men. "No shame in turning down the job boys, taking down a Baenthe isn't a walk in the park, we have enough injured women and men to prove it." With that the woman crossed her arms and looked towards the two, as if awaiting some form of confirmation before she continued. Looking towards the newcomer, Zack simply nodded and held out a hand. "Im all for it, by the way the name is Zack, hope we don't get clobbered in there." Zack let out a short chuckle before awaiting the other man's reply.

Tora stopped next to the other guy who wanted to take this job when the big stalky guy stepped forward. So he was there in case someone else decided to join their little adventure. The lady officer motioned for the two of them to follow and started to tell them about what this monster had been doing inside their church of all places.

Tora didnt know too much about beasties so he was absorbing as much info as he could. So speed, muscle, and obviously some claws to go with it. The more Tora heard about this beast the more his blood boiled to fight it, so much so that a smile grew on his face.

He watched the scenery as they walked through the town, people just stood around staring at them, but especially Tora. Male Mithra were a rarity in Windhurst let alone out of the city. He didnt like how some of them stared at him though, but it kinda came with being a humanoid species.

Once they stopped at the church right in front of the steps Tora was practically beaming. The officer lady turned towards them both. Tora nodded his head and shook Zack's hand as offered. After letting go of the mans hand he put on his claws and stretched out a bit.
"My name's Tora. Seems like it may be a fun little job, I cant wait."

After shaking hands, Zack turned to face the officer and nodded. The officer simply nodded in reply and quickly produced a baton that was strapped to her belt. "Right, best you get yourselves ready then, once these doors are open the Baenthe may attack on sight." Moving to her left, passed both men, the officer lifted her arm and waved her baton, signaling as it were to another officer a good whiles away. "We'll try to get the townsfolk as safe of a distance away as we can, but we're stretched pretty thin so it'll just be you two against this beast." The officer said as she turned back and approached the doors, Zack quickly removing his sword and steadying it at his side. Producing a key from her pocket, the officer quickly undid the large metal locks securing the door shut and with a final turn towards both men prepared to open. "Let's see whats lurking in the dark." Zack thought as he nodded once more, followed by the forceful pull outward of the heavy church door.

A gust of air followed, as if the church had taken a long, stressful breath deep into its dark void. For a few moments there was nothing, no noise or sight, no hint of movement or life. Suddenly the church lights flickered and after a few seconds came flooding back to life, leaving only a large dark mass at its center, a black hunch huddled around the central pulpit. As Zack took his first cautious steps inward, he waved with his hand for Tora to follow while the officer took to a jog in order to regroup with her team. "It looks like its sleeping." Zack whispered, and almost as if by some supernatural sense the mass began to move, large muscles rippling the thin black skin that enveloped it. Turning to face the two, a small central horn appeared above two cold yellow eyes, itself above what appeared to be small tusk like protrusions jutting out from the sides of its mouth. "...Or waiting, either one." Zack said as he tightened the grip on his sword's hilt, while the Baenthe came to life. A terrible guttural growl escaped through it's shut mouth as the beast stood upon six powerful legs, ending in what appeared to be hooves. Standing at around Zack's midsection in height, a slight chill began to run up Zack's spine, the beast was much larger and bulkier up close.

Turning to face Tora, Zack was about to offer some words of encouragement before a sudden jolt from the beast sent it charging towards the two, closing the gap between them in mere moments. Turning quickly, Zack just about managed to raise his blade up horizontally just as the beast launched itself upon him, pinning him to the ground with a large thud, its "hooves" pressing the blade down upon him. "Holy mackerel you're heavy." Planting his elbows to the ground, Zack pushed up, raising the lumbering beast mere inches away from his body. The beast continued to press down upon his blade when suddenly its hooves seemed to part, revealing pairs of large paws, complete with thick black nails, with which it attempted to claw at him wildly. "Not today!" Zack said, exerting as much force as he could until finally able to push the beast off of him, tossing it a couple of feet back while he himself rolled back into a kneeling position. Holding his hand to his chest, Zack took a deep breath, the weight of the beast having pushed the flat side of his blade deep against his ribcage. "...what could you possibly be eating." Zack thought aloud, still catching his breath as the Baenthe lowered in preparation for a pounce, its growls growing lower while its slender face simply stared at the two living obstacles in its path. Its yellow eyes focusing on Tora, the Baenthe leapt towards his torso, this mass of muscle bearing it's tusks at the ready in order to dig straight into the mithra.

As the officer undid the locks to the doors to the church Tora could feel a bit of a chill run up his spine. It wasn't that he was scared or anything, it was more like he was excited. He put his claws on and got into a bit of a crouching position as the door was opened with a loud creaking sound.
Tora quickly noticed the large mass in the center of the room. This thing was huge by the looks of it and Tora's fur stood on end as he began to make his way towards the beast. The Baenthe didn’t seem to move at all until Tora and Zack got closer. The thing turned towards them and Tora got a good look at the beast.
“Damn that thing’s ugly.”
Zack looked like he was about to say something to Tora, but the Baenthe charged towards them, and very quickly was about to try to rip them apart. Tora quickly leapt out of the way, keeping to his feet as the creature all but landed on Zack. Note to self, probably not a good choice referring to the beast as ugly. Tora watched its movements as the thing tried to crush his companion in arms. The situation was made more dangerous when the beast’s hooved feet changed into piercing claws and starting clawing at Zack. Tora didn’t have much of a clue as how to fight this damn monster, but he wasn’t about to let someone get hurt because he decided to stay on the sidelines.
“I don’t know dude, but I don’t plan on being part of its diet.”
Against his better judgment though he readied himself to attack and the beast was knocked back by Zack, and started to charge at Tora. Tora let out a loud roar at the beast, dodging to the side as the leapt towards him, but Tora stayed somewhat close as he revealed the retractable claws of his claws and sent them aiming at the beasts legs. Tora figured if they could limit its movements they’d have a better chance of getting rid of the damn thing.

(OOC: Little late to the party, but here it goes.)

Fury stepped up to the holo-projection on the center table in the war room aboard the Kestrel and spun his knife in small circles on the edge of it. He studied the rough light blue projected layout of the town with his hard green eyes, looking for some semblance of a plan. At last he spoke up, "You say the beast is in the church, C.R.A.I.G.?"

"Yessir. The Baenthe has been nesting there for an undetermined amount of time. It could in all likely-hood already be dead."

Fury gave a slight frown and said, "No, if that were the case the people wouldn't still be hiding from it. The town knows its still alive and that's good enough for me. Tell Dusty to set me down a mile out of town. I'll ride my bike the rest of the way in. No sense in scaring the poor people any worse than they already are."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fury rode into town on his bike shortly after Zack and Tora were taken towards the church. He opted to leave his armor behind on this mission and go in with his casual clothes on to also help keep the villagers calm. He pulled his bike to a stop next to what he assumed was one of the town guards and said, "I hear you have a baenthe problem. Point me to who I need to inform of my presence and I'll get started."

The man pointed towards a woman coming from the church and Fury dismounted and approached her. He gave a small wave and a grim grin and said, "I'm here to help with your problem. Try to keep people away from the church." He walked past her and started towards the church. The doors were already opened. Apparently someone started without him. He walked through the front doors just in time to see the baenthe slashing with claws at a Mithra and the cat-man returning the favor. Oh yes, the party had already started.

(OOC: I wanted to make a note that although this post brings me up to 50 points and would thus earn me an increase from 30mp to 60mp, I am keeping to my previous 30mp amount for the remainder of this thread.)

Zack watched as the Baenthe leapt towards Tora, its tusks ready to pierce his torso. Zack was still catching his breathe from the crushing weight of the beast, and sighed in relief as Tora dodged the leap and subsequently dug his claws into the farthest of the beast's legs. The claw had pierced the beast's skin but barely sank into its tough, heavily built muscles. As the Baenthe landed, it raised the pierced leg and in one swift motion tore a portion of its muscle in order to rid itself of Tora's hold. Dark, almost licorice black blood seemed to stream down it's leg, however the beast neither trembled nor moaned, instead it turned silently to face the two again and let out another terrible roar with it's mouth still shut.

Just as Zack found his footing, the beast seemed alerted by a sudden presence behind it and immediately bolted towards the left, tearing through the sides of the last row of pews as if they were made of little more than paper mache. It was this display that caused Zack to grip his sword tighter and back up towards the open door, attempting to quietly move his way towards Tora and the newcomer. "This thing just tore through its own leg and still managed to plow right through hardwood." Zack said, shaking his head as he replaced his sword back in it's sheath.

Turning to face Fury, Zack held up his hand to welcome him and turned back, not wanting to keep his back towards the beast for too long. "This beast is like a bullet made of hardened muscle, and I doubt we've seen the worst it has to offer." Holding out his right arm, Zack closed his eyes and took a slow breath. Moving to hold his right bicep with his free hand, a glow started to appear in his palm and quickly consumed the rest of his hand. Holding this position, Zack awaited for a sign from the Baenthe, knowing it was lurking about somewhere around the church floor, its body hidden from the rows of pews and columns that furnished the building's interior. "Come on out..." Zack thought, keeping his eyes focused on scanning the perimeter.

Zack was nearly startled by the sounds of breaking and crashing wood, looking quickly to his right the Baenthe seemed to have scurried around the church and made a direct line towards the three of them. Turning just in time to aim in its general direction, Zack shot his spell, the kickback sending him a couple of inches back. The resulting white ball of energy darted towards the beast, exploding with a flash on the upper portion of beast's left facing leg. A repressed growl seemed to signal pain, however the beast slid to a halt momentarily before darting towards Zack's side and reaching out with its other forward paw, claws at the ready. Quickly stepping away, Zack removed his blade and held it up defensively, his eyebrows darting up as he witnessed the beast's claw tear through the church's stone walls. Slinking back down, the beast simply stared at the three, the thin layer of skin on its neck and leg singed and falling in thick black drops on the ground below, exposing a deep red wall of muscle. The beast was already hideous enough, however Zack kept his eye on the deep grooves left along side the wall and looked back at the beat's claws, still intact, like nicely sharpened tools. "Whatever you do, don't let those things touch you." Zack said aloud as the beast now awaited for movement from either of it's three targets, its yellow eyes staring menacingly at what it already perceived as corpses.

Flare Burst spell used: 30mp - 10mp = 20mp.

As Tora's claws dug down into the beasts  leg he knew he had made some damage, but the beast almost seemed to shake it off. Tora retracted the blades as soon as he could as to distance himself from the beast. Tora could see the blood dribbling out of the fresh wound but it didn't seem to bother it too much. The Baenthe turned its head as if something was behind it, and a smell wafted from outside of the church, someone was heading towards them. Toras only hope was that it wasn't a villager coming to check and see if they were both still alive.

The Baenthe hauled tail through the seats of the church fairly easily as Zack started to head towards Tora and whoever was coming towards them from the outside. It seemed like it was someone who came to lend their assistance. He looked like he knew what he was doing so Tora wasn't going to worry much about him. Tora was more focused now on the piercing silence before them, even with his hearing it wasn't easy to pinpoint anything.

Tora looked over at Zack and was about to ask if he had any ideas, but it looked like he was already implementing it. Tora watched Zack as a glow appeared on his hand and then consumed it entirely. It looked like it should be able to do some damage to their foe. Finally the beast charged toward the three and Zack turned to face it releasing whatever attack it was that he had made ready. He hit it but it didn't seem to stop the thing for long if at all.

"Made out of some pretty sturdy stuff aint he haha."

Tora leapt back a bit to put more space between himself and the Baenthe as he clawed towards Zack and mauled a pillar, leaving behind some nice little carvings. The thing looked hurt but didn't seem to be showing signs of slowing down yet. Zack yelled out for them not to touch the claws.
[color=#3333ff]"Dude I think that thing made it obvious the moment it tried to make sliced cheese out of a pillar."

Tora was aware as to not mess with the damn thing but he was the type that liked to get close and personal when it came to fighting. He released the blades on his claws again and they began to spark until they burst into blue flames. Tora went charging the beast while it stared at them and just before getting to it he leapt into the air and somersaulted trying to land an attack on its back at the joints of it front legs.

Fury slipped into the church just in time to see Zack and Tora facing the beast with their backs to him and the rest of the village. The church was already pretty torn up from the fighting already and neither the hunters nor the beast seemed fazed in the slightest. The beast itself was an ugly creature with an angry scowl on its face (though the scowl could have been just its natural face) as it stared at all three of them. Obviously this was going to take a little more time than he thought.

He held his ground and scanned the church for the beast as Zack charged up his spell. He kept his knife gripped firmly in his hand and crouched slightly on the balls of his feet waiting to move when the beast attacked. Finally, a torrent of wood and stone erupted from the pews, showering the church with even more debris as the beast tore from its hiding place and charged them. Tora was already on the move, but Zack and Fury held their ground. Fury watched as Zack sent a ball of fire at the beast that singed and burned the creature's shoulder, causing it to cry out and stop momentarily. The halt to its charge lasted only a moment, though, and the creature doubled its speed heading towards Zack. When he dodged one way, Fury dodged the other, slightly flanking the beast as it tore into the pillar, cutting through the stone like it was warm butter.

Fury only nodded at Zack's warning about the claws and ignored the smartass comment from Tora. The beast seemed to be still facing towards Zack, leaving Tora to its side and Fury to its rear. Fury waited for Tora to jump on the creature's back and start attacking its front legs with his flaming claws before he moved. With the creature distracted with the enemy on its back, Fury dashed in behind it, bringing his knife up parallel with the beast's back two joints. With the creature thrashing about, though, it was hard to get the first strike just perfect and his knife just scraped off the hard skin. The second swipe at the other rear leg was more accurate, though, and Fury could feel tendons and flesh give way under his blade as he darted past to a safe distance away.

(OOC: A bit of a long post, just wanted to make the environment a bit more interesting for the fight.)

The Baenthe growled fiercely at it's three targets, its sharp yellow eyes darting to each individually while its claws slowly crept across the floor, digging in tiny angry marks. The beast moved its gaze towards Fury as he drew his knife, momentarily breaking eye contact with the other two around it. Tora took this opportunity to charge at the beast, leaping into the air just as the Baenthe turned it's back to him. The Baenthe's muscle's tensed as it quickly darted back, however it wasn't fast enough as Tora's lit claws plunged deep into it's tough bulging back. The beast cried out in pain as the flames cauterized the wounds, leaving two scorched marks on either side of its back, the attack had luckily missed it's spine.

As deep as the cut was, this beast seemed built of something much tougher as instead of giving way to Tora's weight and the searing pain of his blades, the beast simply tensed up once more, its muscles seemingly closing around Tora's weapons, binding them to it's body. Glaring behind at Tora, the beast managed to catch Fury as it ran behind and attempted to slice it's joints. The second attack hit its mark, blood now leaking from the beast's back legs, however the beast kept up its weight. Another foul cry and the beast quickly turned and claw outstretched attempted to slice through it's escaping attacker. Having landed on its feet once more the beast took the opportunity to take the captive Tora on a trip straight towards the cold stone walls of the church. "Damn his blades are stuck" Zack thought as both he and seemingly the beast noticed Tora's predicament, a side effect of his successful attack. Taking to a run, the beast growled as it tore through a number of pews before leaping towards the church wall, its speed increasing until it's body plowed a hole straight through. The beast had seemingly caused some damage to the structure as the building seemed to quake and shutter momentarily, a cloud of smoke bellowing to the outside.

Whether Tora had managed to escape this head on collision was unknown, however it was clear that the three had managed to greatly anger the Baenthe, as it was no longer wary of it's own surroundings or in endangering itself in order to eliminate the perceived threat. Having landed outside, the beast rolled and once on its feet quickly circled around the building, giving the three no time to follow as it planned its next attack. Zack ran towards the hole, however his view was obscured by the cloud of dust and debris, instead he took a few steps back and looked to his surroundings. "We need to take this thing out quickly, I'm worried about the damage it'll do if it's not contained."

Zack held up his arm, grabbing hold of the handle of his sword as he walked closer to the center of the church, having grown distrustful of the walls. "It seems focused on us so the townsfolk should be safe for now, but I would move away from those walls..." Before Zack could finish his sentence, a loud roar followed by a burst of the opposite wall caused him to jump and quickly remove his blade from his sheath. The Baenthe had torn through the wall, the church shaking nervously as the foundation took another hit. Charging towards Fury for his previous attack, the beast sped like a bullet, its tusks raised as it attempted to ram through his side, it was unlikely Fury would have the necessary time to avoid damage. Zack only managed a quick look but the Baenthe's black skin was now chalked with grey dust, a blur of red surrounding its face along with two almost glowing orbs of yellow that he took for it's eyes. The Baenthe was no longer going to toy with them, and as the building shook once more, Zack seemed to grasp the true depth of danger they had come under.

"If this building takes another hit we'll be buried under here!" Zack yelled out as he moved down towards the front portion of the church, having picked up a chunk of debris and tossed it at the beast, hoping that it would distract it long enough to at least give Fury a chance to avoid full damage. "Then again, that seems like the only option..." Zack said as he stood and looked towards the walls, thinking that if this battle didn't end soon, the three would have to consider taking down the beast with the church itself if necessary.

------------

(OOC:Sorry it took so long to get to this done guys)

Tora was grinning deeply as his attack hit its mark, however the beast tensed up its muscles, making the blades more or less stuck in place. Tora began to try to pry himself out of the things back as Fury attacked it while it was distracted with the Mithra on its back. Tora tried to make an attempt to retract his claws but the blades wouldnt budge much.
"This isnt good."
The Baenthe seemed to be a little bit unphased by the successful attacks from Tora and Fury, and started to charge through several of the pews before taking a leap into the air and through a wall. Tora made attempt after attempt to try to unhinge himself from the beast. He crouched down and dug his feet into the beasts back and used his legs to pull himself out of its back, however the force of him finally getting unhooked sent him backwards into the pews.

His head felt like it was split open but he placed his hands on his head and checked himself to make sure there was no blood. Thankfully their wasnt but he didnt feel too good either way as he tried to stand up only to wobble to the ground again. He got to one knee and stayed their for a few seconds until everything stopped spinning.  Tora made another attempt to stand up and this time was able to with minimal head spinning.

Tora looked over at his comrades in arms just as the beast burst though the other side of the church and the shaking was not helping him to be able to stand properly.
"Im gonna feel this all tomorrow."

Tora looked over at Zack as he said something about the danger this thing would pose if they couldnt keep it contained and add the fact that he was also right about the walls of the church weakening the more they fought this thing.
"Nothing we've done has done much so got any ideas?"

(OOC: Sorry for the delayed post, found some time amongst the workload to simply get this done.)

Zack watched as Tora struggled to remain afoot, it seemed the Baenthe's last attempt had done a number on him. "Any ideas?" Zack thought, echoing Tora's question, the periodic trembling causing him to lose balance momentarily. Looking towards the still standing wall behind him, Zack pondered his decision before turning back to Tora. "Ive got one, but we'll need to get out immediately." Zack said as he angled his blade diagonally and prepared to charge what would seem the last skill he could muster.

The Baenthe did not remain idle for long, having rushed through a couple of pews before making a line straight towards Zack, whose blade at this point had become covered in a sheathe of water. Its glowing yellow eyes left a trail of light as it dashed forward, attempting to ram Zack's side, an attempt that was nearly successful, had Zack not jumped back, the beast's tusks merely tearing through his shirt and cutting through a thin layer of his skin. Seizing the opportunity, Zack picked up his blade and aimed a slash directly towards the remaining stable wall of the church, the blade launching an arc of water that skidded across the ground. "Tora, we need to move now!" Zack said, looking towards the beast that had, in it's attempt gone through a number of pews across the aisle and slammed against a portion of a wall.

Zack began to run down the aisle, jumping past debris and dodging the portions of rock and marble that once adorned the church's roof. The wave of water connected with the wall behind them, cutting straight through and compromising the wall's enduring structure. The sheer weight of the rock above it caused it to tremble before giving out, the other walls following suit. Zack grabbed the limp body of Fury, which had laid against the ground after the Banthe's last attack, although it seemed he still lived. Jumping through the opening, Zack tossed both his blade and Fury towards some open grass before falling and tumbling down the steps himself. He hadn't looked back, he didn't have the time, the walls had given in and the whole church began to collapse behind them. His hopes were that Tora had made it out and that the opposite had been true for the wild Baenthe. "Please don't let this have been done in vain." Zack said as he covered his head and braced for any falling debris from the still collapsing building.
