With all the bad stuff that gets posted here every now and again, I feel I should also break the rule of not getting your personal life on this site. And what better crack to take at it, then with something positive for a change?

Meet Sofie (Sophie, just more dutch, I guess).

Sofie has been born today, and she is the daughter of my niece. I don't care how you call the child of those relatives, I just call her a niece all over again. A new member of the family for sure.

I came home, literally acted as if my plate was supposed to be tilted to have the food on it fall into my mouth real quick...and visit that new sweet little human. Everything went rather quick for her mother, and she's perfectly healthy.

There are times when even I get speechless.

It technically makes you the "Great Uncle" of Sofie. I'm a "great aunt" myself, but I don't take the term as being old, I take it as being "greater" than all the other aunts!

So congratulations on the new title and new addition to your family!
