Returning to Distant Memories (Squall/Rinoa Others PM for entry)

Squall breathed in the fresh air as it passed along his face. Standing on the deck of a decently sized air ship he looed out ahead of them. On the horizon he could see Balamb Gardens. He would be home in perhaps a day and a half, maybe even less. He had been away from home for quite a while, Rinoa was missing him greatly, he could feel it in his heart. His last job was now finished and he was free to return to his loving wife.

His only problem was he hadn't been able to get a ride back for several months. Finally he had found a merchant's ship sailing through that would be docking in Balamb to drop off supplies and obtain new shipments. Squall had managed to get a ride with the crew for free, yet declined and offered to help the ship hands while he was on board. At the moment he was mopping the top deck, a slight break as he leaned on the handle of the mop and stared out at his home. In truth he had missed it, though not as much as he missed his wife. How he wished to hold her in his arms once more. To hear her soothing voice and kiss her soft lips.

Rinoa had waited by the docks, and looked out to see if Squall was coming back home. She had been missing him he was her husband, and knight as well. She was standing there, and she had wondered what her husband was going to say about this. Rinoa's kids had disappeared, and she didn't knew where they had gone. She was just looking at ahead, and waited for Squall to come back home. She just wanted to make sure that she got to see Squall again after she did wanted to be in Squall's arms again. Rinoa had been staring at the docks at Balamb, and she just wanted make sure that she be able to see Squall coming back to her.

She just wanted to make sure that she would keep her sorceress powers in check. She had always loved having Squall by her side, and she had wondered what was on Squall's mind at this moment. Rinoa had very much had wanted to be by Squall's side by the time that he does come home. Squall was the only one she had fallen in love with. She hadn't knew anyone else who can make her heart pound like Squall does. She had sent out her emotions towards her knight and husband who she had always loved.

Straight forward. Squall could feel Rinoa pouring her heart out to him. Though he couldn't tell exactly where she was, only a simple guiding feeling, he could tell she was somewhere on the docks. He had planned to surprise her with his return but it seemed he wouldn't get that chance. Unless of course he found her before she found him when he disembarked. The brown haired man lifted the mop over he shoulders and placed his hand on the railing in front of him. Using hardly any of his strength he pushed himself over, landing perfectly on the level below. The crew on this floor paid him no mind, he had pulled that stunt many times before while cleaning to get from one place to another quickly.

Squall threw the mop into the air and made a dash for the captain's room, the cleaning tool spinning in the air before landing head first back in it's bucket. Now the crew mates were worried about their new friend, they had never seen Squall like this. Though he had warmed up to them on their long journey since his brooding mood when they first met him he had never run towards the captain's quarters. Upon reaching the door Squall lifted his fist and let it fall against the metal door three times, each with a loud crashing sound resonating inside the room.

"Ar, come in boy'o." The scraggly old captain said from behind his desk, not bothering to look at the younger man who entered with permission. "Sir, Balamb is close. Possibly a day and a half away." Squall told him. "Why do you be tellin me this boy'o and not the navigator?" The old man asked, finally looking up at Squall with his one good eye. Squall had actually had talks with the old coger while on the ship and had learned he used to be the captain of a ship of sky pirates. "Because sir, I have someone special waiting to see me and was hoping we could speed the ship up and arrive this afternoon." The gunblader explained.

Rinoa had been waiting for Squall to come back, and she was begun to sing a song that she was been singing for quite a while. She was very much had wanted know what Squall was up to she had bought him a present, and she was keeping it at home. She was just waited for Squall to get back here. Rinoa was getting frustrated that Squall wasn't here yet. She was mostly thinking to herself, and she was waiting patiently for him to return. She was very much had been waiting for him to come back to her.

Rinoa had been trying to find Squall. Squall I know you can hear me in your heart, just listen to me please come back quickly I missed you greatly. Rinoa thought. She had been sitting there watching the water, and waiting to see a boat that had Squall in it. She had no worries that he would come back soon. Rinoa had been singing, and letting Squall hearing her. She had wanted to know why it was taking so long for him to get back here. Rinoa had begin to wonder why Squall was away anyhow, but she had still loved him.

"Oi boy-o, this somebody a woman?" The old sea captain asked the younger man who he let in his office. Squall was hesitant to answer. Sure he had talked with the old man but he had never told him about Rinoa or the fact that she was his wife. The captain smirked. "I understand boy-o, you need to get back to her as soon as possible for your family." He said with a laught. Squall was about to open his mouth and reply to the salty old sea dog when the white bearded man raised his hand up to him.

"Don't try to lie about it boy-o. Go to her. Ye tell the boys down below ter set this old gal to high speed." he smiled at Squall. "And make sure to have some flare to when ye get off, she'll like it all the more." Squall could only nod. Quickly Squall followed the captain's orders and ran down below. "Captains orders, bring us to full speed." He shouted over the engines. The ship hands didn't question him since it was an order from their captain and simply put the ship into its highest gear. Squall made his way back top, seeing the shoreline of Balamb getting closer and closer at a must faster rate. He could feel it in his heart, Rinoa was singing a song just for him. He could feel how much she wanted him to come back. It brought a smile to the normally brooding mercenary' face. Quicky he told the crew to bring the ship back to normal speeds so they could enter the port without causing any damage. Grabbing a long rope from the sails he jumped from the ship, swinging before letting go and landing back on shore. In front of him was the woman he had married.
