Good Morning World! Now someone close the window!

He woke up on the floor, staring up at the squeaking ceiling fan spinning round and round. It was bright, and the light gave him a headache and made everything blurry. His head was pounding, and made it hard to concentrate. “Am I dead?”, he said to himself, as he squinted, looking up towards the fan. Round and round and round. The squeaking, becoming louder and louder, began to make his head build with pressure. “Well if I am... I’m in Hell.” He thought. He sat up, shaking his head to clear the cobwebs, and looked around the room. It was the ugliest shade of yellow he had ever seen. The paint was peeling, the ceiling was cracked, and the bed was in disarray.
“Nope... not dead... Well then where the Hell am I?”
He walked to the bathroom and turned the taps, letting the cool water run between his fingers before cupping his hands and taking a drink, and splashing a couple handfuls into his face before looking into the mirror. His long dark hair was tangled and messy, but he still managed that “bed head” look, which made him crack a smile. He wasn’t in his standard uniform either, but black leather pants, and a white unbuttoned collared shirt, sleeves rolled to the elbows, filled with wrinkles. He was barefoot though, and a quick glimpse around the room revealed a lack of footwear. “Must’ve walked back here barefoot... Gee, Lar... Way to pick a classy joint.”. Quickly he glanced around the room in a panic, and after a quick search of the room, revealed his spear lodged into the bottom of the tub. “Well that’s my cue... time to get the hell out of here!”

Sophia finished showering and walked back into the main area of her suit in the small and pleasant guest house she had chosen to stay in. She dressed quickly and grabbed her hairbrush and made a vague attempt at taming her unruly blond mane. She quickly finished, placed the brush back down on the white marble counter and looked at her reflection in the oversized mirror, only to see that her efforts were, as usual, wasted. Her hair looked no different than it ever did "meh"

With a shrug, she walked to the door and grabbed her jacket on the way out. She locked the door and began walking down the thickly carpeted hall, pulling on her jacket as she hurried out into the lobby. She narrowly avoided having a conversation with the overbearing owner of the establishment, mumbling something about an urgent meeting by way of an explanation.

She jogged out into the cool morning air and hurried towards the tavern that she had spent much of last night in. To say she had met some colourful characters that evening would be an understatement. She pushed open the door and walked into the dimly lit room, her nose instantly assaulted with the stench of many spilled drinks and goodness knows what else. She nodded to the old man tiredly mopping the floor, who simply pointed at the staircase in response.

Sophia shot him a small smile in thanks and hurriedly made her way up, grabbing a discarded pair of boots on her way. She didn't have to search for many clues as to the location of her intended destination, spotting an empty bottle lying on the floor outside the last door in the hallway. She grinned and made her way down there kicking the bottle to one side as she opened the door and burst inside

"Rise and shine, sleeping beauty. We got a quest to go on... whatever it is. You didn't forget did you? ...... jeeze, this place is a dump....
