Halloween Event: Zombie-thon

Fury's pulse quickened as he glanced out into the Shiamora Square from between the boards holding the window to the small gift shop shut. Out on the plaza, there were hundreds of lumbering zombies walking along searching for food. A woman ran for a nearby door and screamed as she found that it was locked. She pulled viciously at the door handle as the zombies slowly made their way toward her. Fury grimaced at the sight, but refused to open the door and rush out to save her. He would have to fight all the way across the plaza and risk getting all the people inside the building he was hiding in killed too. He couldn't sacrifice them all for one person. Fury looked away from the slit as the zombies grabbed the girl and she screamed.

Fury looked to the tattered group of survivors as he moved to another window. There were at least ten people who had no idea how to fight in the building, cowering as he moved from window to window. He could see the wolfpack headquarters lit up off in the distance. Sitting on the roof of the building was the Kestrel, and their only hope. All they had to do was make it twenty blocks to the building and then they could get in the ship and fly away. The only problem with that was that there were probably a thousand zombies between himself and that building.

Fury knew they had to try and make it soon, though. They were running out of supplies and the zombies were beginning to search buildings, tearing away the boards and cornering the people inside. Fury decided that it was time to move. He moved over to the window that was closest to the Wofpack Headquarters and began to pry open the boards. Fury slowly crawled out of the building and looked around. There was nothing there. Fury waved for the others to follow and started walking down the alley. They reached the main street and looked around. Thankfully, the only thing he saw was a lone zombie eating away at a carcass and was facing the opposite direction.

Fury waved the people across the street while keeping his rifle trained on the zombie. Almost everyone had made it across the street, when all hell broke loose. One of the little girls that was with the group saw the zombie and screamed. The zombie looked up from his feast and screeched before getting up to charge. As soon as he was up, Fury put two bullets in his head, dropping him to the ground. But the damage was done, the zombie had gotten the shriek out.

Around the corner further down the street, Fury saw a mass of zombies come running towards them. Fury shouted out, "GO! RUN!", before running across the street and sending a volley of rounds into the zombies to try and slow them down. This was about to get interesting.

Cain runs towards the towns church, a palce of sacred faith.. if he was going to die in this godforsaken nightmare he was going to die in the house of his faith, As he ran into the place he saw with horror a zombie, feeding uponh the corpse of the primer of the church, Cain spoke a prayer and drew his blade, the zombie suddenly looks up and runs at him, unholy furry in its eyes, as it kocked Cain over trying to bite him as he kicks it off, Cain Chops its head off, breathing heavily he seals the doors to the chruch, as he notices the pool of water in the center of the room clean and pristine as the light.. It was Clear to Cain.. in the end of Days.. no one was spared from the cleansing fire.. all would be cleansed.. and who was he to stand in the way of it.."If this be your will.. thy Will, will be done..." he cleaned his blade and prayed infront of the alter, waiting for those who seeked true light...

Just how and when did something like a nightmare or a bad horror movie had break loose fastly taking over everyplace around. Irvin was safe at the roof of the small pub along with the couple who owned the building and some other few people, making it six with him. The pub had already been attacked by zombies, but even so it was too risky to leave the roof and go down there knowing that there could still be some of them lost and lurking around there. As time passed screams were to became less usual than at the start showing that were even fewer people left around.

For the time that roof was a good place, but he wondered for how long would they be able to stay like that there. Soonly they would need not only more provisions, but in some time and worst case scenario, a whole better protection if not only humanoids, but animals like rats and birds also became affected by that virus.

Irvin then heard a scream and shots coming from the streets, he and another guy from the group, who had made a pressure gun that shot nails and sharpened stones, went to the roof-edge spotting a wave of zombies pursing a group of people in the street trying to get away. "Should we help? i can't aim that good?" he asked sweating while Irvin aimed and shot down some zombies that were getting the shooter of the group. "Then just take care of those away from them then, anyway it will be one zombie a less, i'll take care of those getting close" he said before shooting again.

Now how the hell one suddenly gets dragged into the middle of an rather annoying Zombie attack was beyond the reasoning of a certain German who was currently trying to gather his thoughts as he listened to gunfire, he had came to this place to go to Kaleb's shop to see what sort of supplies Kaleb had in today only to end up having to deal with Zombies of all things. Thankfully for him and the others in the shop the owner of the place wasn't exactly some squishy push over and the same could be said of his partner Coral Q or the security guy named Zenon. As soon as the first Zombie appeared the place went into full on alert mode with Kaleb running around informing people to get the hell into his shop and go into the lower areas, after that Coral Q rushed to the front of the store with Zenon and Kaleb to keep the bastards out. The sound of spells, gunfire, and swearing was soon followed as Zenon would unload into the horde that drew near while the robot turned into Omega mode and started to mow the bastards down, and Kaleb was playing goalie to ensure none slipped by and got inside.

This did make the shop a safe spot with the high level fighters keeping the peace but Victor new that there were many others who were in trouble and he couldn't just hide in a shop waiting for this to all settle down. So after steeling his resolve he walked toward the entrance and then said to the Trio of defenders "You three keep up the good vork, I'm going to zee if I can't help zave zome more people. I'll try to get back here if I can." The trio just nodded their head as Kaleb used a powerful spell to blast a large gap in the Zombie swarm to allow Victor to rush past the horde, him being able to easily get pass due to the gunfire keeping the Zombie's under control. Upon getting into the less filled areas of the city he then suddenly heard the sound of more gunfire and screaming, running toward it while trying his best to avoid trouble he then spotted the large group that Raven was leading which was still being chased by a zombie horde.

Victor quickly aimed his Rifle toward the zombies and loaded a special explosive round into the weapon before firing, the bullet streaked past the crowd of humans and smashed into a zombie that was the third from the front right in the chest. This put most of the blast inside of the crowd of creatures as the bullet went off and caused quite a few zombie bits to go flying, Victor then fired five more rounds to take out the lead Zombies before rushing over to Raven who he knew through Zidane. When he reached him Victor ran with the man and then said "Do you have any idea vhat in the vorld iz going on around here Zir Raven? Also hov can I help, I'm zure even you could use an extra gun Ja?" As Victor asked this he did worry about one thing....he had came here with Shurelia but they had gone to different places due to her wanting to go to some Spa to relax......he just hoped she was okay.

Why, why, why did I come here?! I really need to stop following tidbits of hearsay...it would be easier on my wallet... Bala stood in front of Yomi Palace. At first, she was admiring the sites, but then she started to hear low moans. Turning around, she saw a zombie hoard begin forming behind her.

Bang. A gun went off and a zombie went down. Bala swiftly drew Teruyoshi and sprinted off to a very tall cross in the distance. People, she knew, normally went to places of faith during times of great trial. She, too, was looking for a moment of calm before zombie brains were splayed everywhere in the open streets. The only problem was the fact that there were zombies between her and her objective. She was a furry of blade and steel as she dashed closer to the object.

The zombies began to thin out in the area around the church, though it looked like more were headed that way. She checked herself for scratches and bites and was relieved to not find any. Looking up, she saw Cain nearby. "Cain!" she called out waving her free hand in friendly gesture, "what are you doing here? Are there any survivors in the church?"

Cain looks back to see Bala, as, his blade covered in blood, his eyes gentle as he spoke, "Bala! by the light! I thought this End of Days would spare you... Bala, it is the end of days.. the light and darkness are doing battle atlast! Bala Join me! Let us bering people closer to the light, let us free them from the shackles of Darkness..."Cain walks to bala, his blade still drawn.

Balendin leaned against a chimney on a roof of a house. Undead roamed the around everywhere seemingly hungry for the flesh of humans. Balendin had fought undead before back on Gaia although these had shown themselves to be somewhat different. The biggest difference was that they seemed to be able to turn humanoids that they bit into zombies. A nasty little ability that was, but the fact that they seemed weaker then the undead he was used to fighting back on Gaia helped balance things out. If he would have known that he would be dragged into a situation like this, he would of saw fit to stock up on Phoenix Downs. That least there were not Dracozombies and Whale Zombies flying around.

Balendin watched a feminine figure run into what appeared to be some sort of place of worship where Balendin had seen some strange guy run into earlier. Behind the female came a horde of zombies who quickly surrounded the building. The church was not so far away as to Balendin not being able to jumped to it. A normal human might find jumping forty feet to be a bit difficult, but it was not much for a dragon knight. Balendin pushed off the roof of the house, soared high over the zombies heads, and landed on the roof of the church.

He then smashed a stain glass window. Jumping through the window, he descended to the church floor. He held out his hands in a peaceful gesture to the two inside.

"I just thought you might want to know that the undead have this place surrounded."

Chaos, everywhere Tora looked there was chaos, normally he would be up for helping it along a bit for some fun. However there was one thing wrong with his wanting to have fun, it was being interupted by flesh eating, undead, never resting zombies. Tora was able to knock a few heads as it were, but not when there was a whole mob after him and he was all alone. Check out the sites at the palace they said, it would be fun they said. Tora could only look back as more and more were chasing him, but then it suddenly hit him. He activated his Thief's Cover enchantment and changed his look. His black hair turned a flaming orange and red, his skin turned a dull tan, but best of all he was wearing his armor. He leapt up the wall of a nearby building and stuck to it, he had almost forgotten about this ability in his armor. He watched a smiled as the zombies kept trying to get him, but he had better thing to do and helping anyone else that was caught in this horror film.
"The movies lied, these things can run pretty damn fast. I'm not the only one here though I need to find anyone I can, it's never good to stay alone in this kind of situation."

ME FOOD!!!! Alastar is furious as a Zombie steps on his leg of tiger. The zombie attacked but Alastar was faster and furious his claws nearly took its head, like normal his strike was very strong and as normal there was a dark glow, but it did not go down it got bigger and bigger. Alaster ran. This zombie is chasing Alastar and growing at the same time, soon the zombie tops ten feet. Alastar decides to use Dorchadas Solas pulling out all three knives, best to see how it works with one so it flies and hits the zombie in the head right between the eyes to which the zombie gives a funny look but continues to chase Alastar, luckily Alastar was faster but now that it stopped growing at nearly fifteen feet, it became as fast as Alastar. Alastar ducked into a building, but this zombie just ran through the wall. Alastar can only hope that he has more stamina.

Bala eyed Cain a little suspiciously. End of days? Even in our prophecies it is not recorded as such...maybe the whole vampire-who-is-a-priest is getting to me... His blade was still out, and he was not walking in a malicious way toward her, but something still seemed off. Then, she realized that her nose had been crinkled the whole time. "Cain...do you intend to rise above this? It's only the Apocalypse if we think it is. I believe we can beat this together!"

Sea-green eyes were filled with a fiery disposition. Someone was on the roof for a moment. She could hear the moaning outside. The Guado stood to her feet and went to the door and stepped outside. She saw a charming young man standing in front of her.

His brown hair flowed in a gentle breeze. His brown eyes were determined. His voice was calm but concerned. "Thank you kind sir." There was an awkward smirk on her face. "Shall we, Cain? There are sendings to be done." The girl looked at Balendin and bowed. Teruyoshi was out in a flash as she decapitated fifty zombies around her in a quick spinning motion and sheathed her sword with a kneel. Her eyes closed as she listened for the zombies to moan and detect their movements. "I hope we meet again again, sir," she said to Balendin.

Cain...I hope you will be ok through this. She was concerned about the duty she shared with Cain, and Balendin was catching her eye. She hoped that if she gained another friend through this fight that he would understand her honor and duty to others. What is with these stinking corpses? She slashed to the left and decapitated another three zombies. "That's fifty-three...can you top that, boys?" She continued stabbing and slashing at the undead with her eyes closed with impeccable precision. Sixty...Sixty five...Seventy... she kept counting as she listened to the bodies fall around her.

Cain looks at Bala, his ally and friend.. but the spirit of his darkside spoke, its voice dark, and heavy with malice and hate," Truly she is a sight to behold.. Cain would you let these undead taint her.. why not protect her from this darkness to make her free and closer to the light.."Cain suddenly yelps,"Silence!.. SHut UP!!!!"Cain covers his ears and yells like a madman, his sword falls, a couple of dozen zombies start to run towards Bala and the newcomer, as Cain opens his eyes, all light disapears from his body, Darkness covering his aura, as he walks out, his summons form encompases his own, as he rises into the air, speaking with the same cold malicous voice," Such Weakness.. You mortals days are numberd.. but for now.. theses weak undead MUST DIE! DEMONIC MAGITO!" Cain/Darkside's hand rose, and from it burst a sphere of Darkness, as it struck the ground Zombies disinetgreat in the center, and those from the edge burn slitghly with dark energy, as Cain slowly floats down he smirks a dark smile, as he lifts his blade and slashes more zombies coming at bala and the newcommer.

A pile of corpses began to pile up around Balendin as he slayed one zombie after another. They came without fear or hesitation despite the fact that he cut them steadily. They showed no knowledge in the ways of tactics, but just continued to lumber towards him just to meet there end at the blade of his glaive. Balendin leaped into the air and landed on the roof of a nearby building.

He looked over the area to see how the others were doing. Balendin watched the graceful movements of the female. She was not human, but of a humanoid race. He had not met this race in his travels yet. She had an exotic beauty to her that Balendin found pleasing to look at. Perhaps if they survived he could get to know her better.

Balendin snapped his mind back to the business at hand. Although his allies were holding up well enough, they would eventually be overrun by mass numbers. Balendin was looking to get out of this alive and if possible bring as many survivors out with him.

He had asked James to fetch the Saronian Jewel earlier and his friend had compiled, but Balendin had no clue if the gunman had made it to the airship or not. Even if he had, the crew would have no clue where to find Balendin. Likely they would keep to the sky looking for signs of him. He would need to find a way to signal them.

Balendin jumped down from the roof landing not to far off from the woman.

"I do not think that standing here fighting all day is the best course of action. I suggest we retreat to a more secure location and plan our next move."

The front doors to the church began to break out. The planks of wood keeping them secured splintered and cracked as zombies smashed against the outer side. A number of quick gun shots echoed from right outside and the banging stopped once more. Finally there was a loud smash against the heavy doors and they flew open. Xanxus strode in after having kicked the doors open, dead zombies littering the ground behind him. A single hand gun rested in his right hand, a large red "X" on either side of it.

Behind him a zombie came charging, only to be smashed in the face by the door Xanxus slammed shut. He simply approached the benches, grabbing them one by one and throwing them in a pile in front of the now closed doors.

Bala looked at Cain and swallowed. Fearing her words had pushed her friend too far, she found herself running next to him, helping him kill off some of the zombies around him. The girl wasn't quite sure whether or not his summon had destroyed the zombies around them, but what she did know was that Cain was not being himself. "Cain," she whispered, "I'm sorry. I did not mean to push you to your limits." There was a slight fringe of worry in her voice. She placed a hand on his shoulder, or tried to do so.

The zombies had become thicker around the church. Balendin had been looking at her--it was something she noticed when he had nearly been tackled by a zombie--this made her smile a little. At least he does not smell like the undead... She listened to his suggestion and almost nodded without noticing. Almost. "I know your concern for life, good sir, I too share the same concern. My friend here is a fine example," she motioned to Cain, "I have a duty to uphold...retreating does not coincide with that duty, but rules...can be bent in this case. Only because you do speak sense."

Bala looked over to Cain and sighed. I doubt he'd leave anytime soon, but...we're in a crisis here. She looked over at Balendin and noticed fighting from inside the church, but she left it be. "Sir, I pray you allow me some time to get my friend here back to his senses. I will follow you, so long as this one does not begin to speak in crazed riddles and absolutely refuse your tactics."

She locked her eyes with Cain's. She could feel a cold hatred coming from them. "Cain...can we go now?" For some reason, her knees began to tremble at the thought of losing a friend. Bala closed her eyes and calmed herself. When she opened her eyes, a steady anger rose up in her veins, but she tried to subdue it. Even if the live one was hinting something in his gaze, he will have to deal with the fact that I have a duty to a vampire friend. I hope for his sake, that he is a man of honor and duty as well or he will cause me inexplicable shame.

Cain blinks slowly, as his own mind returns, Darkside's voice cackling into the the void, as he looks to his friend, and back to the damage he had raought, his hands still stung form the dark energies, as he saw how the new commer was staring at Bala, Cain felt somthing his mind hadent felt before.. it was dark in nature, but somhow his minde tries to juistify it, Cain picks up his blade and slashes at more zombies, speaking again, more clarity in his voice," We need to leave here... they know we're here.. Bala Im sorry if I frightend you." Darkside luaghs again right into Cains ear, as he spoke,"hehe Cain is this jelousy I feel from you? HA the almighty Vampire Paladin feeling jelous over a women.." Cain Bluahses a pale red as he hisses at the invisble figure, and picks up Balas and hand and starts to run from the hoard, calling out" There has to be one stable area in town.. Bala can you think of one?"

Balendin easily kept pace next to the woman and her strange friend. He had determined her name to be Bala by the conversation she carried with the somewhat odd man referred to as Cain. They seemed to be fleeing with no particular destination in mind. Balendin did not know the town good enough to suggest a place, but he did determine that they were heading in the general direction of where the portal back to the third world was located. He had left his airship and crew standing by there, so it would be benificial to go that direction. Balendin leaped up on top of a building to get a better view. He thought he could make out the Saronian Jewel in the distance. If he could only find a way to signal it, but any signal he could make would also attract zombies to them.

Balendin leaped back down to the ground then began running beside the pair once again.

"I have an airship although it is quite a distance away. It will be secure for it hovers far out of reach of the zombies and, even if they could somehow get up to it, the crew is more than capable of repelling them. I urge you to come with me. Even if you choose not to flee then at the very least you would have a secure place to rest and strategize."

"It seems like they'll be fine, remember you should save ammo". Irvin said still watching them running away after another person joined the group. But but... the guy, Relv, seemed to wonder why should they stop helping them when there was still so many zombies following those people. It was when Irvin put his hand over his gun making him low it "From now on just shoot if you need to or if you already have enough spare ammo prepared for doing that" "...alright" As he said that they heard a crashing not so far away and walking to the other side of the roof they've spotted a big one destroying and going through a wall.
"Just what's... what's That Thing?" Relv asked before realizing Irvin was already going down the emergency ladders and jumping down into the alley. "Stay they'll need someone while i'm out" He said receiving a nod back as answer before Relv went back to his post. Irvin knew that if that thing could destroy walls easily like that it then wouldn't take much longer to bring down some small buildings like where they were hiding, he needed to put it down.

Running toward the building he noticed it was focused following someone, something, a moomba. Still running, to caught up a good distance for shooting, Irvin walked over the stone debris jumping from a large stone, managing to get at the same high as the zombie and piercing two rapid shoots through it's head before landing on the ground and taking breath after the run.

Bala looked at Cain and back at Balendin, listening to what she had to say. "Cain, I don't know this town much at all! I think we can trust him...at least it's somewhere..." She was confused as to why Cain hissed earlier, and as to why his cheeks seemed to blush when he look at her. Does he...? The thought made her blush herself. "Uh--sir, may I have your name?"

She had questions about Cain that she needed answers to. "Cain, can we talk after this?" she whispered. I'm not sure if he likes me or if I'm just his food...

Cain heard her and nods gently, was he having feelings for bala.. was all his training against this sorta thing wrong.. "Yes bala.."He slashed at another Zombie and hisses at them, as he leads Bala to a ladder and points up," I'll back you up, you get up and tell me when youre safe!" he slashed at more zombies to get them away from the Bala, and hisses at them drawing thier attention," I'll meet you up there Bala! go now!!"

"Balendin is the name, my lady, and I am at your service," Balendin said with a slight bow. He figured since Bala seemed to prefer formality that he would respond in kind although he would have preferred a more informal atmosphere since he had to deal with enough formality on a day to day basis.

Balendin stopped where his allies had stopped at the bottom of a ladder. His glaive darted out to deal with a few incoming zombies. The odd man named Cain told Bala to climb and then started hissing and leading some zombies away. Balendin was becoming more and more uncomfortable with this man the longer he was in his presence. Besides his random hissing; his scent was not right. It seemed to be more similar to that of the undead then that of any human or living being that Balendin had met in the past.

Cain appeared to want Bala to climb up the ladder, but Balendin had a alternate plan if Bala would accept his suggest.

"My lady Bala, if you hold onto me I can carry you to the top in a matter of seconds. It is only one leap and I am confident I can easily clear the distance even with the slight addition of your weight."

Tora had begun to grow bored with taunting these damn things most of them weren't leaving and more were heading towards him. Tora did not have much of an arsenal at his disposal just a few spells and his trusty blade. Other than cutting off heads the thing was useless, he did not think soundwaves would do mich damage to them, but probably would to his allies. Rhodes and Xavier were not around to help him either, he did not want these things to follow him through a portal and into the Overworld or any other world for that matter.
"Well got to do something don't I."
Tora looked around him and heard a few gunshots in the distance, he figured those would be the best place to start. He got up on top of the building he was hanging unto the wall of and climbed to its top. Over the entire place were fires, moans, screams, and gunshots. Not the kind of chaos he liked to cause. Tora heard the shriek of a zombie in the distance, followed by two quick gunshots. The horde below was now running towards the sound and what looked like a group of survivors. One man stood in the front gunning as many of the undead fiends that he could letting the rest flee in the opposite direction. Tora ran as quickly as he could towards the group and the gunman, and leapt out above him landing partially unto the building across from the one he jumped off of and leapt again landing himself beside the gunman.
"Looks like they need to be thinned out a bit faster."
Tora reared his head back and took in a deep breath, then released a extremely loud roar that unleashed a soundwave that carried a gust of wind stright at the undead. Some of the zombies that were close when hit were blasted into pieces, but like much of the horde before them they were sent flying into the distance, and into each other. Taking his chance he began to run after the group of survivors and fllowing them to their destination.

Fury moved to the back door of what looked like a Church. From the mad dash of where they had been spotted, the group had met up with Victor and had also received help from another survival group along their way. Luckily, they had been able to pull away from the horde, but the civilians where tired. They needed another place to rest and reorganize before they move out. Fury slowly pushed the door open and crept inside, signalling the rest to follow. He moved down the hallway, able to hear a commotion from around the bend.

Fury rolled around the corner with his assault rifle up and aimed. Across the large room were a group of people. Fury recognized Balendin but the other three were a mystery to him. The doors burst open and zombies began to poor into the room. One of the people he didn't know pushed the girl to go with the other and then dove into the horde. Fury swore and then opened fire on the group of zombies lumbering toward the others. He shouted, "Victor! Help me hold them off! The rest of you get back out on the street now!"

Fury took several steps towards the horde and fired his gun, but each zombie that fell, two more took it's place. Fury called out to the remaining three, "Hey! Get over here! Go out that door, it's safe there!" Fury continued carving a niche out of the horde and stepped between the others and the horde. Hopefully, this wasn't going to be like pulling teeth trying to do get them to listen.

Victor had been prompt in following after Fury when it became pretty damn clear they couldn't keep the zombies back on their own but he was rather thankful that they had ran into another group of people that had fighting skills as well, this allowed them the needed time for the non-combatants to get into the church to recover their strength but instead of having a nice break the Zombies were rather quick at ripping down the doors to a room that was filled with some of the other combatants. Swearing under his breath Victor was ready to respond to Raven's request for assistance, he had reloaded while on the run and so had his rounds ready but seeing how the Zombies were set up in a line more or less due to getting through the doorway he had a better idea.

Focusing his mana into his rifle the weapon gained a fain light blue glow that became brighter and brighter over time till it was about as a bright as a light bulb just with light blue instead of white, once that happened the sound of what could be guessed as rushing water could be heard from the weapon which was akin to the sound of a firehose on full blast. Just moments after that sound was made a powerful stream of rushing water was shot out of the rifle, the size of it being a stream or pillar of water ten feet in girth. The water crashed into the zombie's in front and knocked them back which hit the zombie's behind them who then hit the ones behind them and so forth knocking a fairly good sized hunk of the bastards back and out of the building. The zombies had been quite badly damaged by the attack and it was easy to assume a fair few were dead, but also any ones that were alive got knocked back fifty feet from where they were when hit. This would buy them some time and this caused Victor to look over at Raven and said "Zeemz thiz zkill I learned vaz perfect for thiz zituation....Too bad I can't keep doing that over and over Ja?"

Victor looked over at the other fighters and then said "You heard the man get going! If anything those civilianz vill need you to keep them zafe, vhat the point of vinning thiz battle if all the people are dead..." Victor knew that they had to fight for the lives of the innocent people of this place, not just for themselves....and by God he would save as many as he could if possible.

Bala looked at the two men for a long time. The moans were loud, and there were more noises of fighting in the background. She ignored this, and looked at the ladder. Cain's risking himself for me...but this Balendin guy... Bala sprinted up the ladder. "Cain I'm up."

She looked down at Balendin. "Well met, Balendin. You are an honorable warrior, but I prefer to carry my own weight." She noticed a few zombies up where she was and drew Teruyoshi with a flourish. Silently, she slashed through them as though completing a difficult dance. Sprinkles of blood floated past her as she twisted in and out of the forms she memorized so well.

In a moment, there was silence, and nothing could be heard but the fighting below. Cain...can you and Balendin really get along?

Balendin shrugged to himself. Although she made it quite quickly up the ladder, he could of had her at the top much quicker thus Cain could have followed much sooner and the whole process would have went faster. Carrying ones own weight was great and all, but in a situation where time was somewhat sensitive; pride might need be sacrificed in favor of effiencency.

Balendin slashed at the zombies at the bottom of the ladder and then leaped up to where Bala was. He joined her in bringing down the few zombies nearby then jumped back down to the bottom of the ladder. He stood at the bottom of the ladder keeping zombies away so Cain would have a clear path once he was statisfied with whatever heroics he had planned.
