Split start of Another Day in Heaven

Turning when she heard his voice Cru looked him over with a smile "yes I guess I am, or should I reply..." standing to attention she saluted him, like a soldier would an Officer then smirked playfully and said "Sir; Yes Sir" before she relaxed and gave him another smile as she continued "you certainly clean up well kitty, I like it...", waiting for the airship to come to a full stop before they could disembark.

"are you gonna come with me straight away, or will you have some freetime first to look around by yourself?" walking over to him, she brushed off some invisible dust from his jacket as she kissed him softly before stepping back and giving him one last look over, tilting her head and nodding in approval that he looked perfect.

“At ease soldier,” he said with a teasing grin as she sir’ed him. “Hm…maybe I should recall you back to the cabin for an inspection,” he said softly kissing her back and caressing her cheek.

“All aside, I figured I might as well attend with you, so that I can personally meet this hyper active aide of yours and explain what happened. Hopefully, it won’t be too hard to pull off,” he said as the final docking of the Calamity occurred, the ship no longer moving and the Wheel of Fate slowly turning off.

“If everything goes well, there might be a new trade route…if not, well, least you won’t be grounded,” he said with a playful smirk, wrapping his arm around her waist for a quick hug before leading the way off the ship. As they disembarked, Gohrick took a moment to take it all in…It had been far too long…or simply, perhaps not long enough, since he had been here…

Smiling she laughed and nodded. "hmmm... I don't think we'd get off the ship if you did that..." looking him over once more she said " well it's a good idea kitty, a traderoute would be good, i just hope Shade will agree with it that's all, or you may well have to come rescue me if Tiu finds out what really happened. He'd lock me away for a year if he knew"

Chuckling she easily leapt onto the dockand took Goh's paw then headed up the steps to the Entry house and nodded to the guards as she knew all of them as she went through and up the next set of stairs then found herself back home on the streets of Port Jeuno, the noise of the salesmen and adventurers washing over her.

“Aw, you make that seem like such a bad thing,” he said teasingly before taking her hand and giving it a soft squeeze as they went from ship to dock. “Well, if this does go to dust, at least I’ll get some good exercise breaking you out of ‘jail’,” he said before the noises of the traders and adventurers assaulted his senses. Geez, it was like being back in Rabanastre again, in the market district.

Everything you could ever think to buy or sell that dealt with adventurers was being called out and shouted back and forth. Already, Goh felt the comings of a minor headache. It had been truly too long since he had been assaulted in such a way.

“Home sweet home…” he muttered, feeling Cru leading the way. He made sure to keep hold of her, before nearly being knocked down by a careless Galka, stumbling slightly before sighing.

“And this is why I traveled by roof tops…” he said with a slight chuckle, shaking his head before pausing for a moment, taking a look at Cru and remembering about how much she weighed…It was doable, but would she be up for such a ride?

"it's not a bad thing at all, but then we'd never get anything sensible done kitty" laughing she lead the way quickly through the crowds, heading towards the giant staircase that was the base of Jeuno, stopping when she felt him stumble she turned to face him "are you okay kitty?"

Giving him a questioning look she waved off the Galkan guard by the stairs that was on his way over to see if they needed any help.

“Huh? Yeah, I’m fine…just had a moment of insanity for a bit…” he said with a shake of his head with a soft smile. Nah…it wouldn’t go with the image he was trying to pull off…I mean, what sort of fleet captain went jumping around buildings with the world leader on their back?

“I’m just not a massive fan of crowds…I think I’ve been hanging out with Cypher too much,” he said with a grin, lightly swiping his paw behind him and smacking someone’s hand as they reached for his wallet. Yeah…good to be home…

Nodding she tilted her head then thought for a second before she smiled at him and said "yeah...it's a bit crowded isn't it?" taking his hand she giggled a bit and said playfully "Here, let me show you one of the perks of beeing Leader"

Walking over the the big galkan guard she gave him a stern look "Guard. I am very sorry to take you away from your duty, but i need you to escort me and my guest to my palace."

Still not moving, the guard only moved his eyes a little down, about to give a snide reply but the his yellow eyes widened in surprise as he recognized her "Y...yes Ma'am, Straight away Ma'am!" saluting her as he snapped to attention he then turned around and started heading up the stairway making a huge trail amongst the throng of people milling around them "This way Ma'am, please stay close" turning his head a little he looked to see that they were indeed following him, and Cru made sure they were.
Smiling at Goh she winked and said quietly as she leaned in "see? it has it's perks"

He gave her hand a squeeze as they followed the large Galka through the crowds. He keep a sharp eye for would be pick pockets, stopping two more in a short time, giving a glare to them so that the word spread…these were not the targets they were looking for.

“This is certainly a nice perk of being a leader…not very sneaky, but nice regardless,” he said with a smile and another squeeze of her hand. He would have to keep this in mind if Cypher managed to over throw those three stooges who called themselves leaders in Spira…

“It’s been so long…” he said, taking in the sights as his blue eyes darted around, simply taking everything back in…

"i hope it hasn't changed too much, and if it has, to the better"



Finally they made their way all the way up to Ru'Lude Gardens; featuring broad paths and promenades, stairs, pillars and elevated plinths which all come together in an eye-catching way. Nodding to the Guard that she'd manage alone from there, he saluted them once more then turned around at the top of the stairs the headed down again.

Still holding Goh's hand, she made her way to The Grand Duke Palace where she had been put to live. Towering 4 floors above the Quadrangle, she wasn't sure she liked it; even if it provided an imposing centerpiece while the consulates and auction house were lined up around the outer sides of it all.
Walking up the stairs; she nodded to the tall Elvaan guards as they went inside, letting go of his hand. "Here we are, home again..."

sighing a little she waved off the servant who came rushing to them as soon as they entered and said "Please tell Master Tiupiu that I have returned and I am on my way to my private Offices straight away with a guest, he is expected to join us straight away."

Nodding the servant glanced sideways at Goh then headed off to do as Cru had asked as she lead the way up the Grand Stairs and along the brightly lit corridor to the end, opening two big mahogany doors and lead the way into a surprisingly small room wich contained lots of bookshelves, stacked with books, a few maps on the walls, a desk with a comfy, well sat-in chair behind it and two more in front of it. Behind it was two french doors leading out to a veranda that overlooked all of Ru-Lude Gardens, and on one wall there was a fireplace and a door leading to her private rooms.

Putting the Moomba and the Goh-plushie immidiately away in her own bedroom before shutting the door she sat down behind the desk and gestured to the ones opposite the desk "Well, this is it, the place where the magic happens...please, sit down"

Feeling weary and tired now that she was back home again she rubbed her temples with her fingers, waiting for Tiupiu to arrive, then looked up at Goh as she said "d'you know? im actually hoping this plan will work, it would be so helpful for everybody if it did" as she gave him a small smile.

Though Gohrick was from this world, and had actually lived in Jeuno for a while, he had never actually explored the Grand Duke’s area…probably wouldn’t have been allowed to now that he thought about it. Not that something as trivial as rules ever got in his way.

It was with wide blue eyes that he took in the sheer size of the gardens, of the walls, everything about this place just screamed royalty. Even in his best clothing, he felt mildly under dressed, as though he should be wearing something flashier or the like. He readjusted his hat in greetings to the elvann guards and continued to follow behind Cru as they entered the main chambers of her office.

He nodded to the aide that rushed off to alert the ‘chamber master’ before lightly fingering the seat that Cru indicated he should sit in. “I’ll wait till your aide shows up,” he said with a smile, before he let his wandering eyes take in the features of the room, his eyes immediately drawn to the maps on the walls. He slowly walked on over to it and looked it over.

“Huh…never noticed…” he muttered before shrugging and turning back to the desk, leaning back against the wall.

“Don’t worry Cru…something of this scale has to work. And if things go the way I’m hoping they will…There will be even more expansion then even we originally thought,” he said with a slightly mysterious grin.

Watching him closer, she gave him a slightly apprehensive look "what do you mean 'more then we thought?'"

giving him a sly smile she folded her hands and said teasingly "There is no point trying to deny your up to something, I can see it, it's practically written all over you, so please enlighten me"

before Goh had time to reply though; the doors opened and a small tarutaru man came hurrying into the office "Oh thank the Goddess, Crucent, your back! Where HAVE you been? for a week, without letting anybody know where you, the World Leader was! Who knows what could have happened to you, I daren't even think about it. Are you all right? what am I saying; of course you are. your always all right, returning from Gods knows where, acting like you were never gone in the first place... I wish you would stop that, it shatters my nerves you know, I worry myself sick over you Madam!"

As the litany washed over her, Crucent just watched the Taru and smiled fondly at him, and let him rant away till he finally sat down and stopped. Only then did she say "Hello Tiupiu, good to see you as well. Won't you meet a friend of mine; Gohrick Trisona; Special Envoy from the World of Eight, here on official buisness."

Startled the small Tarutaru spun around in his chair then noticed Gohrick standing by the wall "Oh Goddess me! I am deeply sorry, please forgive me Mr. Trisona. I did not mean to ramble, or scold MyLady; it's just, I've been *so* worried you see, please forgive my impudence." Leaping to his feet, he gave Gohrick a deep a bow as he could possibly manage without hitting his head into the floor then straightened up and extended a hand " Tiupiu, At your Service."

Gohrick only had time to give her a playful grin before the tarutaru came barging in, ranting and raving like a mad man. Hearing his words made Gohrick wonder just how often Cru really went on her little excursions, but decided it was probably best not to know.

He gave the small being a smile as he was introduced, giving a wave of his paw as he shook his head. “Don’t worry about it Sir Tiupiu, I am quite understanding. If I was in your shoes, I would be just as worried as well if the leader of Vana’ Diel vanished without a trace. You must be quite a strong being though, being able to handle such stress, as well as acting as her aid de camp during her…official meetings. Please, do not be too angry with her. It was on my request that she left and meet me in the World of Eight.

I come to speak of a trade route to be opened between the World of Eight and Vana’ Diel, if such a route does not already exist. According to Lady Cru, such a route does not. I do believe it would benefit both worlds, Vana’Diel getting more advanced technology, and Eight gaining food stocks they do not have, as well as perhaps more details on how magic works, to aid with their research in the sorceress’s powers, improving their para magic.

I just so happen to have a small stock of mechanical parts and how they work in the hull of my ship, the Calamity, which is docked not too far from here. In addition to that-“ Gohrick paused as something in his pants started to vibrate, causing him to flush slightly.

“I do so humbly apologize Sir Tiupiu, but this might be the call I was waiting for…please, grant me just a moment of your time,” he said, bowing his head, before pulling out a small communicator to the ship.

“Oac?”
“Cypher, ra ujan drnaf dra drnaa maytanc…”
“Yna oui landyeh?”
“Uv luinca, mega E fuimt pudran fedruid lralgehk so vyldc.”
“Drec ec knayd hafc. Damm Cypher E’mm pa ubahehk dnytehk nuidac fedr Spira yc famm drah.”
“Fryd tu oui sayh yc famm? E druikrd fa uhmo dymgat ypuid World of Eight?”
“Fa yna ehlmitehk Vana’ Diel yc famm.”
“Ruf tet dryd rybbah?”
“Banrybc ed’c pacd du ghuf ypuid dryd mydan.”
“Ymnekrd, E’mm mad oui ghuf ruf drehkc ku frah oui kad pylg.”
“Ug, dryhgc Dria.”

Gohrick smiled and scratched the back of his head, before putting the device away.
“I am terribly sorry about that, but that was the best news I’ve had in a while. And this will benefit the trade route even more so. In addition to a trade route with the World of Eight, you would also have a direct trade route with Spira, who, while not as technologically advanced as Eight, has some impressive creatures and materials that, when forged correctly, could easily out power the defensive prowess of dragon skin, as well as being much more easily available.

In addition such, Spira will also be creating and building upon a new type of magitech, merging magic and technology in such ways that it feeds and creates new weapons and abilities,” he concluded with a small smile.

“All we need is a signed copy of allowance from Lady Cru, as well as from Madam Shade. Lord Cypher has already agreed to this. Madam Shade only needs to be informed of the new flight paths and she will agree as well. So…we just need to work out the fine details between Lady Cru and Lord Cypher, of which I will be acting as Envoy of.”





((Translation of Conversation))
“Yes?”
“Cypher, he over threw the three leaders…”
“Are you certain?”
“Of course, like I would bother without checking my facts.”
“This is great news. Tell Cypher I’ll be opening trading routes with Spira as well then.”
“What do you mean as well? I thought we only talked about Spira and Eight?”
“We are including Vana’ Diel as well.”
“How did that happen?”
“Perhaps it’s best to know about that later.”
“Alright, I’ll let you know how things go when you get back.”
“Ok, thanks Dria.”

Quite taken aback as the young... man started to talk first flettering im then going on to explain Crucent's absence and the traderoutes Tiupiu was too flummoxed to think straight for a second, then gestured to the chair as he sat himself down again and listened intently to what Gohrick had to say.

As something beeped and the other man had to talk to someone on the other end, Tiu leaned in and said quietly to Cru "is he serious? traderoutes from her to Both Spira and the World of Eight??"

Nodding Crucent could see his little mind start whirring happily away in regards to the economics, the benefits of trade, more work for everybody... it seemed he was quite happy about it so far. And if she had to say so herself; she was very impressed with Goh as well, he certainly acted like an Envoy.

Speaking just as quietly she said "he is very serious, I thought you might like it, after all, when I got this job I said I'd get more friendly relations with the other Worlds, and this is a good start, don't you think?"

Sitting up straight again as Gohrick finished his call, Tiu said "Well, this is certainly intresting news, and I am most intrigued. But of course, if you do have goods with you now, I had better go make arrangements to have them unloaded and find wares to trade you back. And then we have to look at the overall cost, but Im sure we'll work something out, very soon, to the satisfaction of all parties"

Smiling he leapt off the chair then bowed to the both of them "Please excuse me, I need to go and immidiately sort through our warehouses and find the right goods to trade. I'll have the papers drawn up tomorrow. Will you be staying at the Palace for the night, or do you have other accomodations? I can easily arrange a bedroom for you"
